We recently held a wedding at the house (not ours) and a dear friend was nice enough to snap some photos of us with the backdrop. I've been poking around the photo editor this evening:

Our 2-year anniversary is less than 2 weeks away and I've been feeling (among other things) so super grateful for the neurospicy-friendly home we've created. The physical environment, yes, but more the respect and understanding that we have for one another's needs.

I go out in the world and I have to pretend to be a person, feeling my battery ticking ever-lower. But at home? I feel important, loved, and supported. I wasn't really convinced I could have that outside of living by myself. Being able to give that feeling back to my partner makes me giddy. She lights up my little world and though I can't imagine adoring her more than I do in this moment... I know tomorrow I will. That's how it is every day.

5 years ago today I sat across the table from @davinasgirlfriend at a donut shop and, though I don't remember exactly what I said (she now likes to remind me), I was apparently a memorably terrible flirt.

3 and a half years later she brought the same donuts I got that day all the way to Cincinnati. I was confused how she knew what donuts I liked. So confused, I didn't know what the donuts meant.
