The time has come to enjoy our favorite characters enjoying their favorite passions and pastimes!
The lineup each day includes a mix of character pairings/relationships, ratings, work types, word counts, and hobbies/interests represented. With the schedule as it is now, you can expect about 40-50k words and 6-10 works per day.
Before we jump into the reveals, we want to thank all of the creators who submitted works! At the end of the fest, we’ll have some fun stats for you about the works and creators in the fest. In the meantime, we’ll be posting over 10 days (through Friday, Aug. 13). We’ll reveal creators on Monday, Aug. 16 at noon Eastern time.
We’ve tried to provide an assortment of works each day that vary in type, length, relationships, ratings and more.
DAY 1 REVEALS
When It's Right
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose, Stevie Budd & David Rose - T - 11,621]
“Well, where’s the doctor? I demand to see a doctor!” the man cried, his thick, dark eyebrows practically climbing up into his hairline as blood from the cut on his forehead dripped down his temple. “Stop touching me!”
“Sir, I need you to calm down,” George said, a touch of annoyance starting to creep into his tone. “I’m trying to clean this cut, and I can’t do that if you keep slapping at me.”
“Where is the doctor?” the man shouted, nearly knocking over the folding chair he was sitting in as he jumped to his feet, leaning away from George in a rather dramatic fashion that made him look a little like a cartoon character.
“Right here,” Patrick said calmly, turning his attention from the bicyclists whizzing by their tent and focusing his gaze solely on the dark-haired man a few feet away.

Work of Heart
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose - T - 10,936]
Inspired by one of the store's vendors and wanting to stretch himself creatively, David takes up wood burning. Learning something new is never easy - fortunately his friends and family are there for support.
*
you got me breathing sunshine
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose, Stevie Budd & David Rose, implied/background Stevie/Twyla - G - 6,864]
“Because I love you very much," David says, "I will agree to play one game of D&D with you."
Patrick's eyes go wide, and then so incredibly soft and gooey that David has to look away. They've been married over a year now, but he apparently has yet to develop any form of resistance to the Patrick Brewer Heart EyesTM.
"David," Patrick murmurs, "You are incredible."

This is Home Run
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose - G - 4,063]
David Rose hosts an arts show in the afternoons on C-ACL, the radio station owned by his dad's company, Rose Media. The rush hour slot immediately afterward is occupied by Patrick Brewer, a former minor league baseball player who is very charming and easy on the eyes- but obviously David would never listen to a SPORTS radio show... would he?
*
You Are The Reason (I Wake Up Every Day)
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose - G - 2,862]
David and Patrick have a podcast where they discuss movies they share with one another. When David is in any accident this podcast becomes Patrick’s lifeline.
*
like a rice cooker, i'm steamy for you
[Stevie Budd/Ruth Clancy - G - 2,813]
Ruth approaches everything in her life with such careful precision. The way she packs her work bag in the morning, the way she creates a pro-con list when deciding what movie they’re gonna watch for the evening, even the way she curates her workout playlists.
Which is why watching her cook is so fun.
--
Ruth teaches Stevie how to make a Filipino dish. Stevie tries to retain the information.
*
Pat's Bakery
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose - E - 2,568]
Food and sex are two of David's favorite things. Just not together. David is so adamant that they don't mix, it just makes Patrick determined to find a David Rose approved way in which they do.
*
The Secret Ingredient
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose, Ivan/Twyla Sands - G - 2,387]
Patrick is ready to compete in this year's ice cream contest at the town picnic, but he has some work to do first.
*
[Art] i'll pull the stars down from the heavens (to fill your empty skies)
[Patrick Brewer/David Rose - G - 110]
As a distraction from missing his family after the wedding, David gets into houseplants in a big way when he and Patrick move into the cottage. The sunroom becomes a jungle. Patrick is baffled but fond.
