Howdy folks! As you may have noticed, deviantartwhy is no more. I have a few posts regarding what happened on my main blog, @satyrbot We didn’t quit or deactivate. We were terminated. The blog, as it was, cannot be remade, and if I try to do so, my account itself will be terminated.

However, all is not lost. I have created this blog, similar to dAWhy, taking some of the concepts we had, and changing them around to create something new.

The goal here, is that you will still get your bad art fix, and from the two folks, Lotus and Zodie, who brought you the bad art glory days of deviantartwhy! But as we cannot post the same things we used to, as I said, there are some changes.

The twist here, is that rather than just having our followers fish for bad art on DA or FA or wherever else, we will all instead submit our own bad art. Old art. Art from that sketchbook you found from middle school. Art you drew in MS Paint with a mouse when you were 10. Or when you were an edgy 14 year old, or some of your bad OC’s. I have a box of about 30 old skethbooks, and I will certainly be contributing what I can bear to look at myself! On dAWhy, we also had Redraw Wednesday, and I want to make that concept a bigger focal point here too. This is about posting our own stuff and being able to laugh at ourselves (Or even our friend’s stuff, if they give us permission!) and also about showcasing improvement. That was definitely a theme of dA, but I would like to expand on it even more!

We had enough folks participating with the self-submission stuff, and Redraw Wednesday, so I think this just might work! I don’t expect it to get as big as dAWhy was though, because most people don’t even want to look at their old cringy art and OC’s, let alone share them with the world. But it’s definitely worth a shot! So yeah, dA Why may be gone, but the mods aren’t, and our former followers aren’t, so  here’s to the bad art renaissance I suppose! Hope you guys will join us for the new things to come <3

Heyo I just really wanted to apologize for the art post made the other day because that really upset a lot of people and at first i had no idea why.

What I wanted to say but didn’t express well in words is that yes sometimes people are bullies when it comes to bad or beginner art and it hurts, it’s NEVER a good thing, but it happens regardless. but you should NEVER let that stop you from working at your craft and improving it. I have the highest hopes for all you young artists out there, and all people in general that have a passion for art.

Again, really sorry, I only had good intentions. Bad art blogs are really not ok and I don't feel personally comfortable supporting them after really thinking about it for a few days.
