For Roy! He uses a special pomade to get his hair perfectly sculpted and voluminous! He does get bent out of shape if his hair gets messed up on account of how much time he puts into styling it! 😆
As for Archie's Shadow... He's a lot of things! A metaphor, an entity, an anomaly, a personification of things Archie doesn't like about himself... That's all I'll share for now :o)
And for the third question... Being a creator of an indie series is both really rewarding and fun but also can be rough sometimes! I've met some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and made close friends by putting myself out there, but you also sometimes have to deal with a lot of parasocial toxicity and that's been a bit baffling but interesting! It's a tough thing to manage as a neurodivergent artist that struggled with being perceived and valued his privacy, but I like to focus on the folks that are kind and give constructive feedback as well as focusing my energy a lot on the project itself. :o)
