I posted a while back about Isochron Scepter and how it fell from grace in my mind due to a jerk sticking Counterspell on it. I one upped this, against the same person, by sticking Dawn Charm on it. Keeping in mind the whole premise of the deck I stuck this combo in is shutting down combat in its entirety (it’s Angus Mackenzie EDH... Turbofog in EDH. Fun.) I’m a big fan of Turbofog, but even I believe Dawn Charm on a stick is just wrong. Massive Fireball? Nope. Swing for a ton? Nope. Kill Angus? Hell nope.
Can Dawn Charm counter Oblivion Sower?.
No.
Oblivion Sower is a creature spell, and creature spells never have targets.What is targeting you is Oblivion Sower’s triggered ability, but that’s not a spell so Dawn Charm can’t target it.
