How to Lose Friends Fast
Came about this wicked combo this morning while browsing thru my collection and thought I would share. The combo in itself is simple: Cast Realm Razor, then while it’s on the stack cast Teferi’s Protection. The Protection will resolve first, phasing out all your permanents and then the Razor will resolve, entering the battlefield and exiling all your opponents’ lands while yours are safely phased out. For extra pizzazz!, throw in an Oblivion Sower to help yourself to all those delicious lands you exiled.
Enjoy! You now just became that guy at the table and I’m pretty sure unless someone has a counter/kill spell in hand, you just won the game. Be gone my lil meta slaves and remember, there’s nothing better than a good Home Brew to start you day!
If my opponent casts an Oblivion Sower and I Mana Leak it, can my opponent use the lands they get off of the cast trigger to pay for it?
It depends on when you’re casting Mana Leak. If you cast it before Oblivion Sower’s casting trigger resolves, then your opponent doesn’t have those lands yet and can’t use them. If you let the trigger resolve and then Mana Leak it, they will have the lands.
Oblivion Sower
If I have lands in exile and a leyline of sanctity in play, my opponent cast oblivion sower, do they get my exiled lands or no because of the leyline?
Oblivion Sower’s trigger won’t be able to target you, so it can’t take your lands.
hello i got Parallax Tide on the battlefield exiling 4 lands of an opponent. another opponent of me casting oblivion sower targeting the player i exiled the lands. does he get the lands exiled with Parallax Tide?
Yes, if he wants them.
If I use (sacrifice) a fetch land I got from an enemy through Oblivion Sower, where does that fetch land go? I would hope it goes into my graveyard until the game was over, it would make sense that it would just no longer exist in the game, but I was told that it goes back into their graveyard! (Adding to their delve fuel?!)
It goes to its owner’s graveyard. Cards you don’t own can never be in your hand, graveyard, or library and will go to that same zone of their owner instead of doing so. If you really don’t want your opponent to be able to delve away the card, then just don’t sacrifice it.
