Whenever it looks like I'm going to have a period of utter boredom at work, I like to fiddle around and plan out which multi-chapter story I'm going to write after Ghost in the Machine.
And I have four ideas! So I'd love to see what people think:
Which Would You Be Most Interested In?
Marco x SpadePirates!Reader: Set while Ace is still trying to kill Whitebeard
Luffy x Reader: You've never met in person but you send letters constantly.
Kid x Royal!Reader: Kid is the last person to fall for a princess. Right?
Ace x Marine!Reader x Sabo: They don't know it but they're both stressing you.
Whoever created K-Pop Demon Hunters knew what they were doing to reader-insert writers because what do you mean I tried to write one drabble set and now I have a list of like twenty one shots and I'm knee's deep in a proper multi-chapter fanfic. Like send help.
Im curious - what’s your favourite one piece arc and character? Are you up to date or are you taking your time getting through it? What first got you into one piece and were you hooked from the start?

Killer. Though I will say, it's not easy to choose; I have an ever-shuffling top list that jumps around depending on the day but mainly consists of Killer, Izou, Thatch, Marco, Sabo, Robin, and Bepo (though he's mainly because I adore bears)
Up-To-Date
Yup. I've read the manga all the way to the latest chapter but I haven't caught up fully with the anime. I'm about 10 episodes behind on that.
And I'm only half-way done with Season 2 of the live action.
Getting Into One Piece
It's a very funny story, actually.
My fiancé loves One Piece, and I love Jojos so shortly after we first got together, we played a game where we randomised an episode from our favourite animes and watched them together.
So, my first introduction to One Piece was episode 627 with the Pet-Pet Fruit. Needless to say, I was very confused 😂. Then when we travelled to Japan together like a month later, and I ended up getting a matching pair of chopsticks with him that were One Piece themed, visited all the statues, got an autograph from Luffy's VA, and bought a bunch of trading cards - still without having seen the show at all. Just because he was enjoying himself, I was too.
Then my best friend asked us to join a One Piece TTRPG and I had to look up so much to make my character so I gave in and started watching the show. And yeah, from there, I was hooked 💙
So it was a bit of a long journey for me to get into it but it ended with me finding a fandom I really love and a show I genuinely enjoy a lot.

I do have a sort of posting schedule that I follow but it's more of a posting loop than anything strictly day-based. It normally looks sort of like this:
Kissing the Commanders → One Shot → Ghost in the Machine → One Shot → Necessary Loss → One Shot → To Catch a Phoenix → One Shot → Fire and Flame → One Shot
Then that loops. I write less on weekends because most of my writing time is during working hours but if I can, I just loosely follow the pattern.
Sometimes, I might skip a one shot or shuffle the order a little. I normally choose requests to fulfil based on inspiration.
If a new multi-part story starts, it'll slot in at the end of the loop. Then if one story finishes like Ghost in the Machine is going to soonish, it'll get replaced by a new one in the order (In that story's case, it's being replaced by another Ace story with the working title of Divine Flame).
