Dawndus is an arid planet in a state perpetual dawn or dusk. As such, midday and midnight does not exist on Dawndus. The Dawndusians, the people of the planet, have evolved past the need of sleep, becoming permanent insomniacs. Despite this, they understand the concept of sleep, but to them, the concept exists as an activity. In fact, if you see a Dawndusian that appears to be fast asleep, it means that they are either unconscious or dead. Or just being very good at feigning sleep.
