Driving down the busy night-street of Seoul, the numerous flashing bright lights and neon signboards were starting to get on his edge. Once he steered his car left at a cross junction and drove into a narrower street, his eyes briefly scanned over the familiar area before parking his car by the sidewalk.
Despite the time of the day, the street was still filled with people, drunk or not, and he had to carefully maneuver his way around them. It was not the time nor place for him to attract any attention, nor did he want to fight his way through them.
It wasn’t until he reached a much more isolated part of the avenue that he slowed his pace down. He let out a sigh, side stepping over a puddle of oddly coloured fluid that he did not wish to know what it really was, before walking into a relatively quiet small local bar – one that was easy to miss without any knowledge of it existing.
The interior of the bar was hushed and simple, a slow jazz song playing in the background with only a handful of customers. It did not take long for him to spot a familiar figure by the bar counter and seated on a high stool. With a few long stride, he easily crossed the room and slid onto the stool next to the figure.
He quietly ordered for a glass of non-alcoholic drink, only to receive a soft laugh from the figure next to him. He sighed, but there was a slight smirk upon his face. “May I ask what’s so funny?” he turned to look at Eunhye, fingers lightly tapping on the counter top.
