{ Through The Grapevine } Kwangsoo/Lay
There was just something that seemed oddly tranquil as the tall lanky bartender wiped the glasses with the white cloth in his hand, his eyes darting curiously around the club as random strangers come and go. It was still early though, so the club was yet to be too crowded.
Thinking about it, Sure, he did have difficulty adjusting to the environment when he first started working here years ago, but contrary to the rumors, the staff here was actually friendly and willing to help him out. (Even though he knew the place was as shady as it could be.) And while the manager of the club seemed like a intimidating scary person with those muscles of his, he wasn’t unreasonable and was actually easy to get along with, as long as one doesn’t cross his border.
Holding the glass up against the light to check that it was thoroughly sparking clean, Kwangsoo gave a satisfactory nod and set the glass back on the hanging shelf. If there was one thing that his height had given him an absolutely advantage over, it was the fact that he had easy access to all the stuff on the top shelf of the bar.
He hummed to himself, wiping the last of the set of glasses and making sure they were placed back properly on the rack. Turning around back to the counter, he nearly had a fright at the person who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. That, or he had been there all along but Kwangsoo hadn’t notice until now.
“Gosh, make some noise next time instead of silently appearing like this,” Kwangsoo pointed out, giving a weird goofy expression at the newcomer. “Shouldn’t you be preparing for your performance later? Or do you need a drink to calm down? How about some Mojito for ya?”
