The streets of Edo could get crowded but on this island it seemed those crowds seemed even larger and louder. This paired with the sounds of the machinery and vehicles could get overwhelming for him, leaving him worn out.
As much as Masa felt challenging himself to growing accustomed of such was important, he also knew he has limits. Knowing of this was part of it as well - of that he was aware - but it wasn't to say he didn't feel the weight of it. The situation required much of anyone but even so it felt enormous over his shoulders.
Homesickness too. It was part of it. In a way it was less exhausting and yet it tug his heartstrings rather painfully, even brought tears to his eyes at times.
The cherry blossoms here in this area reminded him of home - even if for just one part of the year. The trees at home in the domain or the one's by the city of Edo. It's not heal for the condition but it brings him solace.
Many other things can of course bring things from his home to mind - such as the white hair that crosses the corner of his eye on his stroll. It has him stop and turn his head in a fast paste and rush towards that--
" Oh!!! Yai-- "
No. It is not. It takes no further than one step for him to notice. This one's a child. The only common trait is the hair.
" Pardon me..." he starts shoulders slouching, slightly disheartened, " you are here to watch cherry blossoms as well...? "
