as a nod to the series title, hanako is based of the hanako of the toilet urban legend!

he's one of the mysteries at the school, where nene attends, and he's the number 7th.

he's a ghost, but also 13 years old, which also means he's a child.

he's not going to say anything on how he turned into one.

he's a bit of a prankster, and likes to be entertained by others!

he also has a hard time admitting he wants company.

... there might be an occurrence where he haunts your toilet. enjoy!

"Yikes, who called for the exorcists?" Time for this one to take their leave.

man, this floaty kid's getting into it, taunts and all! shouldn't yuri be the mature one here and tell him to dial it down a bit...? nah. those water guns are a nice touch!

"ha! talk about overkill. hope i never end up on your bad side."

"oop, fountain coming up!" identical to the one back home, too, so it's likely another figment of his dreams brought to life. nifty, that. "i got an idea-- loop around!"

that's what he does, anyway, and skids to a stop-- waiting for the knights to draw closer... closer... snap! now, who put a pesky rope there for those poor, unfortunate officers to trip over? (yuri, duh). like a set of clanking dominoes, they splash into the water one by one; pitifully tripping over each other and gurgling under the fountain's spouts all the meanwhile.

grin wide and toothy, the swordsman raises a hand up to his partner-in-crime for a triumphant slap, "i bet those oafs regret chasing us now. had enough yet, kid?"

It's been a while since Hanako had done any pranking to anyone, and while he admit some probably don't deserve it, but this time since he's given permission, he might as well!

"You probably won't~ Not everyone gets on my bad side~"

Whether this was true or not was not mentioned, as he looks at the fountain. Well, it's his dream, so the ghost might as well do what Yuri asks! "Okay~"

He lingers a bit behind Yuri, peeking from behind to see how it goes! And wowzers, they go down like dominoes indeed! Hanako kind of feels bad, but also they were being really persistent and annoying! So, in one way or another, they probably deserved it.

Surprised by the other's hand raised up - at first he wasn't sure what to do, but then goes for it. It seemed right. "Hehee! I bet they do! Sure, I've had enough for now~ I'm feel a little fulfilled~"

when she received the actual answer, she paused. the name was somewhat familiar, almost like a dream but… not. she shrugged those thoughts away before nodding her head in understanding.

“ okay, okay … so wait, like, is everyone from home here too or are they just… back in my world or whatever? “

so much was happening back at home— she couldn’t afford a vacation to this spirale place. at least not right now!!

"I guess that would depend! Maybe you would find someone you know around here… maybe you won't!" Hanako replies, twirling her fingers, seeming not to care about this - or that. It's kind of hard to tell how she's actually feeling, if anything.

"The Stars are kind of choosy in who they decide who comes or not!" A hum, "And who they decide to let leave, I think? But I do hear that some people who went home previously, come back sometimes!"

Hands behind her head, she watches the older girl curious on how she'd take this information. "That is to say, we don't really have much a choice in the matter!"

"That is a new one." She had expected something else. Not everyone was like her though. Not everyone was going to see something and only see the chaos behind it. She's learned that rather quickly, but for someone to see a person's dream, and whether that came true or not was, well, surprising for Dam-bi.

"In truth, I didn't come here to look at the arts here. I wanted to see this place when it became alive with arts moving."

"Well~ Is that a good thing?" He queries, curious eyes roaming back to the other. Maybe he was being idealistic, maybe he was talking about himself. Who can say at this point! He certainly isn't going to reveal any of that to someone he just met.

"Oh! Really~. When it becomes alive and moving…! Spooky~ So it's already haunted by a whole 'nother entity! Too bad. Though I wouldn't mind witnessing that! It'd be cool to see!"

Euini knows that if Alaira was around, she'd chastise him for reverting back to the form of a scalewolf, but this feels like an exceptional situation. Especially given the fact that he had the fortune of being housed in Golden Ward rather than the more familiar Cotes. The bustling modern town being centuries ahead of the world he's used to. It's loud and confusing and, as far as he knows, he's utterly alone.

So, the citizens of Golden Ward get a black wolf with iridescent blue scales wandering down it's streets. It's size is massive at around six feet at the shoulder. However, that ferocious appearance is made less impactful when combined with the body language of a low tail and head with ears pressed firmly back against it's skull.

Hanako watches the creature with a curious look- pondering as for why this creature was even in a Ward like this? This Ward isn't quite appropriate for this fellow, whoever it may be. The ever so slightly busy, and modern Golden Ward. It was certainly quite a spiffing place, but can be quite… uncomfortable for those unused to the modernity, or futuristic appearance.

He takes another glance at everything around him, and then walks towards the wolf. Usually, the ghost would be more careful about such things as approaching dangerous creatures - this time, he felt bad for the wolf. "Hey, are you okay? Or are you lost? Need some help?"

this kid is seeming very smug and it's really pissing her off. he definitively meant to scare her, oh how she wants to wipe that grind off his face. whatever, the damage has been done...that doesn't mean she can't be petty about this.

"well you should be grateful that my reaction was mild at best, others would actually hit you for it," why is she trying to babysit this kid? it almost reminds aoko of soujuurou in a way (maybe not the bratty ghost kid kind of way). "innocent my ass..."

"so tell me, when i was growing up hanako was described as a girl. is that suddenly not a thing now or did she pass off her thing to you?"

Smug was really the one thing Hanako was unfortunately good at, among other talents which do not has any use to anyone! Even if he had meant to scare her, perhaps, it wasn't… purposefully done well! She was too quick and noticed anyways!

"Of course, of course! I'm eternally grateful for your kindness, for sure! Who could ever deny that!" Now, he could always slip away from the scene, but that would make him seem a tad more guiltier than usual. So remained, airily, perhaps at the behest of Aoko.

"Eh~ About that, who said I wasn't a girl, anyways? I could be both ya know? But, in truth, rumors are rumors, as much as urban legends are not infallible! Word on the street can change from one person to another - as much as a name can just be name! It's about whether you believe it or not!"

Dam-bi takes a moment to take the young boy in. Committing him into her memory. As someone who was able to speak and see the dead, she wasn't surprised to see one just casually talking about art. She wonders what kind of boy he was in his life when he was alive.

"You're right," She states and looks back at the art, "Some artists don't have an actual meaning for what they create. It's up to us to figure out what we see." She chooses to ignore his question and asks, "So...What do you see when you look at this?"

Oho, so that's how she's going to do this? Well, it wasn't like he didn't really mind much - he hardly gets to have any conversations with other people. Well, other people being alive humans, instead of super naturals. As much it'd be such a breeze to simply converse with her, Hanako decides go the roundabout way- but now it's gotten kind of tiring.

"Mhm!" He thought of that Shijima-san, and now his thoughts strayed elsewhere. However, keeping pace as usual, the boy hums thoughtfully. "Well, when I look at this, I see- a person's dream- whether if it's been succeeded, or not, it's clearly their ideal."

"great, 'cause you'd be having way less fun with them," a scoff, thumb jabbed in his pursuers' direction. "it's a dream, right? we can head anywhere we want." 

and just to gain a head-start (and/or tick them off), yuri draws from the recesses of his mind and wills a giant jug of water into existence. it floats high above their heads, tipping, tipping, until... splash! its freezing cold contents spill over in a gushing wave.

"i-i-i say!" the lanky knight (adecor, if anyone cares) sputters his trademark phrase.

"you did not just do that!" the stouter of the two (boccos) cries-- all topped off with another belt of yuri's name, booming from their lieutenant's loud mouth.

"heh, don't get rusty, guys!" the swordsman's not gonna waste their leeway; with a smirk as his signal, he bolts! "let loose with the pranks, kid! those dolts can take 'em!"

"Oh, I wouldn't even dream of it! Having less fun just because these two would suck," a slight cackle, at the mention of dream- "That's true! It is a dream!"

Eyes gleaming, as he tries to consider what to do. Watching Yuri get a bucket of water- it was as if a light-bulb turned on in his mind. Two water guns appear in his hands- immediately squirting at knight's faces- making them more drenched than ever.

The two knights, whatever their names were turn to look at him sternly, and all he did was stick his tongue at them. "Nyehehehe, bleeeh! Do you think you can catch me?"

Taking the chance to levitate, "Well, how do you feel about this?" Then, a blast to their faces again- "Got it~"

𝐃𝐄𝐉𝐀 𝐕𝐔; 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐌 𝐒𝐇𝐄'𝐃 𝐔𝐒𝐄 to describe her current sensation. like a wave of memories rushing through her body sending chills down her spine. unfortunately, the last thing the girl remembered was that her connection with Mewni had been interrupted— nothing about this new area.

the princess quirked a brow before taking a moment to take in her surroundings; yep, nothing looked familiar at all… though, she couldn’t shake that feeling of normality. Like she had been here before. however, that feeling would have to wait; she had been taken from home at such a worrisome realization… was everyone in mewni alright? her parents, eclipsa? the mewmans??

spinning on her heel, the blonde would run up to the first person she could find, looking up at them with a nervous but genuine smile.

“ hey uh, where are we? what is this place? “

there was nothing star wanted more than to explore this new place and meet new faces, but first, she needed to ensure her friends and family back home were safe!

"Iunno." Absolute blatant lies. "I think they took you here for the heck of it!"

Before she continues on, she begins to feel a little bad. "Well, actually the Stars... or something or whatever, and you're here in Spirale! Welcome!"

SHE'S STANDING IN THE STREET, pinching her fingers together and squinting at the space in-between.
