Alum Cave Bluff
The full trail is 7.5 miles long
The hike to the Alum Cave Bluffs is 2.5 miles. The trail continues past the cave for 5 miles and ends just below the summit of Mt. Le Conte
The trail has an elevation change of 1,200 and is very steep.
Driving to the trailhead: Drive 8.6 miles on Newfound Gap Road from Sugarlands Visitor Center or 20 miles from Oconaluftee Visitor Center. There is a sign and two large parking areas marking the trailhead.
