DAY 142: Co-Written by the Dude in Eurythmics That ISN’T Annie Lennox

I never thought much about Bob Geldof. 

I mean, sure, he did at least 2 HUGE things in his life:

• He played the lead role in “Pink Floyd The Wall”

• He was the linchpin of the Band-Aid/Live Aid charity

And before all that, he was involved in 1 big thing (sort of):

• His band, The Boomtown Rats, made a little bit of a dent in the UK 

But after ALL THAT was done, he released a solo album. This one, in fact:

I never owned it. But it existed in a strange time in my teenage years. A weird, mid-80′s period when there weren’t a lot of options in terms of interesting music for me. 

Considering I’d been a peripheral fan of his through most of his work, I found myself slightly drawn to one of the songs off of it.

But never actually bought it. 

And that’s why I regret that this single has somehow stuck in my head 32 years later.

Ugh.

Go back to solving the hunger problem already. Starving people need bread. They can’t live on your crap.

Day 142 - black and white date night outfit Tonight we went out on a date night to the theater. We went to see Fun Home at the Ahmanson. I know theater in LA isn't really a dress up occasion, but I always like to look a little special, hence this black top and white lace skirt. It's perfect for a night out (Top: aqua, skirt: Ted baker, shoes: Cole Haan)
