Day 1 Juice On!

So about 2 years ago I purchased a Breville juicer after watching "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead" a documentary on jucing by Joe Cross. I have yet to actually apply his learnings to my own life, until today. I have dabbled in jucing here and there, but nothing "serious" so far. Today I have decided to try a juice cleanse for 10 days. Or a week. Or however long my will power hold out. (maximum 1 month Joe Cross' book recommends) 

I have been getting fruit and veggies from Wanigan Organic delivery again, which helps my cause since I normally won't go and purchase things like swiss chard to juice. I usually would get the known healthy things like Kale, spinach, beets, ginger, lemons and then apples... my go to fave.

This morning's juice was a blend of random left overs I had from dinner last night (broccoli, cuke, romaine, ginger, and some apples) it wasn't awful.

Joe's documentary say the first three days of any detox/juice cleanse are awful. I hope it's not as awful as I've imagined. I've got this week off, and that's long enough to get over the detox hump of 3 days at least and there on out I am supposed to be feeling energized and wonderful.

- update as of 3:47 on day 1 I am so tired, and sore and exhausted feeling. i'm glad i cleaned the bathroom this morning.. i feel awful. i tried to sleep off this detox feeling i knew was coming but no luck.
