Gift#6: Budget for the 39th MIBF In my past posts I have given you the reason why i love Manila International Book Fair... I only have one problem ever since. I do not have enough money to buy whatever I want to... So, I have challenged myself that on September next year. I'll be able to fill up my little luggage by my haul in MIBF and I am serious on that. All I need to do is to pray that I'll be able to raise funds for that to become a reality. Gift#5: A brand new acoustic guitar This one is actually something that I was looking forward to. In the past, I was able to learn how to play the guitar basically. Using a small guitar bought by my dad when I was still in Elementary. I actually took some lessons for that. It was gone after high school where I focused in singing. During law school, a way for me to relieve from the stress is to have a guitar played whenever I would come in contact with one. With that, the fire of learning how to play a guitar returned. Gift#4: EMHC vestments and equipment A month ago, I was installed as a Lay Liturgical Minister at the Manila Cathedral particularly being an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Communion. From then on, my daily mass life improved on an exponential rate. That same willingness to serve in the Holy Eucharist has been restored. Indeed, the people of God needs workers for the great harvest. But there is a little problem, I do not have any equipment to minister outside the Cathedral. I wore my long-sleeved polo barong for 3 weeks before washing it. And I need to borrow an EMHC hood each Mass that I serve. A little bit worse, I administer Holy Communion without a Purificator! All I ask is for someone to help me with getting this thing complete. I need at least another 2 sets of Polo Barong and Black Slacks. I guess I also need a new Black Shoes. Another is that I need a complete Lay Mass Kit (Crucifix, Pyx, Purificator, Holy Water Dispenser, Handbook [another discussion] in a leather kit) for me to be able to work this out outside.
