You were Brian. BK. Bribri. A dude who studied minutes away from where I lived and who made it to debut. A source of pride for living in Toronto. It was fun to make inside jokes within the small, small fandom in 2015, where you all made instagram with silly posts and comments. Terry was our fandom leader (back when we were self-claimed Sundays) and going to the first Day6 in Toronto concert was one of the most life-changing events I had ever experienced. You performed at your second home, cried in the middle of songs, and had proof that you really made it. At a small basement venue that wasn't entirely sold out, you still shined the brightest.
You are YoungK. Kang Younghyun. A successful singer, rapper, song-writer for multiple artists, bassist, composer, university graduate... The list goes on. From the small quirks like forgetting your own lyrics and focusing on food, to performing at sold out venues and writing songs of an impossible amount of quality and variety, you've grown so much. Your list of accomplishments is commendable and respectable. You're hardworking, talented, charismatic, relatable, and everything in-between. Happy 25th Birthday, YoungK. Thank you for existing.
