Things Rhys said or did that screamed sus day 6
The “Mate Bond” Moment isn’t Adding Up
when Feyre finally confronts Rhys about the whole mate situation, his first reaction is:
“Did the Suriel tell you?” (Or something like that)
…Excuse me??
Like not “you felt it?”
Not even “you realized it when we kissed?”
Just: “Oh. So the suriel told you.”
And that raises a lot of questions in my head.
Because if the mating bond is truly mutual—if both parties are supposed to feel it—why does Feyre need a all knowing creature to reveal it to her?
Why was Rhys’ immediate assumption that the Suriel told her—unless he knew Feyre wouldn’t be able to sense it herself? Unless he knew he was feeling something she wasn't (I'm no saying anything 🤐🤐)
Like, I’m not even questioning the existence of the bond (or maybe I do a little... just a little bit 🤏) I'm just saying… if it’s real, shouldn’t it be something she feels too.
It's like Rhys created his own version of a mating bond aka that bargain and let feyre accepting it without knowing.
Because the way he jumped to “the Suriel told you”?
That wasn’t romantic. That was strategic.
