Take my hand [closed]
Dean Winchester was a soldier not some piano playing hipster. But it seems that was what he had been reduced to. Not that he had anything against someone who could play an instrument, it was a talent, just as much as learning to shoot a gun. That was what Dean was good at, guns. He could take apart a gun and put it back together faster than anyone in his entire platoon. And that was his talent. After the accident that sent him home things weren't the same. People gave him looks of sympathy when he walked down the street now instead of looking at him with respect the way they would when he wore his uniform out. The shrapnel from the explosion had caught him in his upper thigh, burying itself deep enough to cause muscle damage, which left him with a small limp. A second piece flew across his face leaving a nice scar above his eyebrow. And underneath his clothes where no one could actually see was the scar of the metal shard that stuck in his side, almost causing him to bleed to death. But--all that was in the past now. He had made it out alive thanks to the quick actions of the medic on his team. Although he couldn't say that for everyone in the blast. Yeah it fucked him up a little bit, he still had nightmares about that day, which is what led him to be referred to taking piano lessons. Something about it being soothing and calming to help take his mind off things. Honestly, he thought it was a crock of shit, but if he wanted any help from the government with his slew of medical bills this was one of the requirements. The place was a small brick building, just off the street and not too far from where he lived. He hadn't really dressed up for the occasion, but did make sure to at least wear some decent clothes since first impressions were supposed to be important and he wanted this...whoever to give him a good report. Well, here goes nothing, let's hope this isn't boring as hell. Taking the small brass knocker between his fingers he gave a few raps on the door and waited to meet his new piano instructor.
