Urgh, I only slept for 6 hours after my writing marathon yesterday.
But still, it was time well spent updating my old romance story.
I paid for it later when it got to 11am and I was exhausted. So after waiting for H’s birthday card to get delivered to my apartment, I broke my ‘Sunday before work the next day’ rule and took a nap.
I had a weird dream about X.
I dreamt that she called me on FaceTime and that I actually answered. The weird thing is that we had a civil bordering on friendly conversation, even though I knew we were broken up in the dream.
All of a sudden, a girl came into X’s bedroom while she was on the phone with me. X introduced her as her friend Joanne, who I now remember is actually X’s ex-girlfriend from a few years back. I greeted Joanne with a sincere smile on my face.
Then out of nowhere, Joanne sat down on X’s bed and they started kissing - in front of me! I played it cool by continuing to smile, but in my head, I kept thinking about how I wanted to kill them both and burn X’s house down.
I know what you’re thinking: I was jealous. Maybe it was a little about that, but I distinctly remember being pissed off in the dream just because X was already kissing someone else after we’d broken up three months ago. I got pissy with KA for the same reason when I wanted to get back together two months after we broke up and I found out that she’d met someone else.
It’s the principle of it all. X is most certainly not allowed to have any rebound fun if I can’t do the same. Not that I want to either back-slide with X or have a rebound with someone else. I just don’t want X to move on before me, as dumb as it sounds. She broke my heart, so she should pay the penance of being just as miserable as I’ve been for months.
Anyway, I was steaming mad about it when I woke up. And I guess it affected my mood, even when I went out later to the salon to get my hair done. Now my head is throbbing and I want to sleep. I’ll skip writing tonight and just get some rest. Teaching is probably going to be shitty tomorrow with getting my young’uns to practice their English writing.
I think I’ll just read before bed to help me relax. My acid reflux has been acting up all day today, which is making me really grumpy too.
It would be nice if X’s ghost didn’t invade my dreams with sheer stupidity tonight. I’m really not in the mood.
