Zion's Travail brings us face to face with the LORD rendering recompence to His enemies. Yet we look at the context of this portion and find before she travailed, she brought forth a man child. Yet, even as this sounds unbelievable, the question is asked "who has heard such a thing or seen such things”? A #nationborn at once, for Zion travailed and behold she brought forth her children. Nothing was to stop this bringing forth a nation, yet as we see Zion, #Jerusalem was #desolate. #Zion will bring forth a nation one that is brought forth from a #manchild. Here we find that even through the #desolation and #judgment of #Judah and seventy years in captivity, #Godforgave and #restored her. This nation of Judah already was an established nation formed in #judgment and #God #redeemed her. The man child herein is seen, for example Albert Barnes refers to the birth of the #MessiahYeshua and the increase thereof, birthed #spiritually as a #nation out of the Messiah. The blessed Zion, the restored Judah, and the #Messiah #prophesied to come are born. Out of him will come a multitude all of which are born from the #seedofZion. Lifestyle Choices brings us to the last chapter and the final words of the #ProphetIsaiah. Here we find the Lord addressing the humble that trembles at the #WordoftheLord. These met with condemnation, being also cast out of the #Temple. Herein, the Lord tells them that the "Lord will appear to your joy" and those who condemned you will "be ashamed." These words also reflect this last chapter of Isaiah, here being Sixty-six and the verses one through twenty-four. The beginning to the end of this chapter is summed up. As above we see the #Humblecomforted, the #ungodlycondemned, at the #Lordsappearance. All while #Jerusalem is made a #joyonearth. From the beginning of #Isaiah there was a difference between those who followed and #obeyed and those who did not. As Isaiah chapter three reminds us, this is the beginning of the book as you know. We find the Lord making the difference clear. God of Truth comes into focus clearly as we reach closer to the end of Isaiah chapter sixty-five. God will have #Truth, #Justice, and He will #judge all people. The truth here is not that there is a reward for both the wicked and righteous. The Truth is, #God is a #redeemingGod who sent His only Son #Jesus, #Yeshua to die for the #sinsofmankind. One day the sin, rebellion, hate, murder, and all the deeds of darkness will be eradicated from all existence. The #formertroubles will be forgotten because they are no more. A #newheavens, #newearth and the former shall not be remembered nor come to mind. Yet of all that God does and will do he says in Isaiah sixty-four and verse eighteen "behold, I create #Jerusalemarejoicing, and her people a joy." This is the aspect and truth that the nations today are at war over. That is the #Jewishpeople have #Jerusalem. Yet the #fullness and completion of #redemption and of all things therein are not net fulfilled. Mine Elect meets the past sins and idolatry of Judah even as the seventy years of captivity are finally over, the justice of God never wains in its purpose. Isaiah writes in chapter sixty-five and verse six "I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom." The #sins of #idolatry and forsaking the God of their Fathers fills their past, and the future is assured by the Lord God, even as he says "I will bring forth a #seedoutofJacob, and out of #Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it -Isaiah Sixty-five, verse nine." Forgiveness and Restoration can be found throughout Isaiah's writings. For the rise of the #Messiah, #Yeshua is coming and in him shall be the #redemption for all people. As we come to the close of #Isaiah, the #JusticeofGod, the reward to all according to their #works, and the #GraceofGod bringing #forgiveness cannot be ignored here. Rebellious People brings us to the end of chapter 64 and onto the first portion of #Isaiah sixty-five. This week we close out the former chapter, although it is relevant to this week's study. Isaiah writes "I am sought of them that asked not for me and I am found of them that sought me not- Isaiah Sixty-five and verse one. The Jews did not seek God, instead they turned to #idols and #doctrinesofdevils. Meanwhile, the Gentiles who had worshipped idols and never sought for the #true and #livingGod, had found him. Yet during this struggle, #God would bring out a remnant so that the #Jews would not be left desolate. Paul in Romans writes in chapter nine, verses thirty to thirty-three that "Israel which followed after the #lawofrighteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness." Thus, here Isaiah looks at this struggle of Israel and the future that has God bringing a #remnant of #Israel to himself. Our Father brings us to the #realization, that in the #endofallthings; our #God is indeed our #Father. This Father is the one whom #ChristJesus, #Yeshua revealed when he came to provide the #atonement for all who would #believe on Him. He spoke again and again of "His Father". As we find in this segment in our study, #Isaiah brings us to the #conclusion as we near our final chapter and #word on this #studyinIsaiah. We also find an #uncleanpeople who faced tremendous #judgment, terms like "our righteousness's" are like "filthy rags" and "our iniquities" have taken the people away. Working Righteousness - A righteous God, demands righteousness and for Christians today, our actions and all we do should be to be found in #ChristJesus unto #goodworks that is connected to our faith. For without faith, we cannot please #God. Even #Israel not only had to follow the law, but they also had to have #faith. A commodity that many had trouble with. We also find other New Testament ideals that we use to today, which #Isaiah writes about. These include the fact that "we have sinned", "we are as an unclean thing", "because of our iniquities", "all our righteousness as filthy rags", "we do fade as a leaf", "thou art our Father", "we are the clay", "thou art the Potter", "we are the work of thy hand", and "we shall be saved." These common phrases we find in Isaiah also have a place in the gospel and the New Testament. The #Apostles taught these principles and more, many more which are found in the #OldTestament [Tanakh] and confirmed again in the #NewTestament.
