No Nation is Insulated from God’s Judgment (Daniel 5)
Daniel 5 records Babylon's sudden and decisive end. With Nebuchadnezzar's grandson on the throne, the great empire was overthrown in a single night by the combined armies of the Medes and Persians. Once again, we are reminded that even the mightiest nations are not insulated from the consequences of their sin.

A Testament to the Tragedy of Sinful Pride and God’s Grace (Daniel 4)
This second of two daily devotionals is drawn from Daniel 4, where we find King Nebuchadnezzar enjoying the “golden years” of his reign. The king, however, was troubled by a dream, a vision that needed interpretation. The king summoned Daniel to interpret the dream and explain its meaning. Daniel confessed, “My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies” (Daniel 4:19c).
Trials and Temptations: A Crisis of Faith and Integrity (Daniel 3)
Continuing our study of the Book of Daniel, this first of two devotionals is from Daniel 3, with a second to follow from Daniel 4. Daniel 3 records one of the great moments of faith in the Old Testament. After erecting a great golden image (perhaps of himself), Nebuchadnezzar commanded all people to bow to his idol or be burned in the flames of his furnace. Three Hebrew men refused to obey the king’s command, and the LORD saved them wonderfully and miraculously!
Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream of Four World Empires (Daniel 2)
Our study of the Scriptures continues in the Book of Daniel, with a fascinating chapter that presents a prophetic panorama of world empires (Daniel 2). Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and its interpretation by the prophet Daniel are the focus of this second devotional, which concludes with Daniel’s promotion.
my comment on a candid pic of me, my brother, and my best friend in 2019:
I look like I’m prophesying the end times.
my comment in 2025:
Y'all should have listened.
