MUSIC REVIEW - Jay Messina

"Hello Cupcake" by Days of Rain

Usually, when I hear new music, I like to compare the artist with another one.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that Anna's voice didn't really sound like anyone - at least at first listen.  But that's a good thing and means she has a unique voice!  Overall, I liked the song.

The band is very solid, great rhythm and they don't overplay.  That's one of the biggest pet peeves I have with newer bands these days is that they tend to overplay their instruments but most times it is uncalled for.  These guys did not do that at all.  I look forward to hearing more.  Easy 4 1/2 out of 5 stars for them.
