I bought a flower yesterday

an orchid.  They are my favorite, and I saw them at Trader Joes for 10 bucks.  Now I actually have never taken care of a plant in my life. When I had to try and grow a corn stalk in my backyard for school it died. Very quickly.  But what the hell, its 10 bucks if it dies it dies.  I put it on the shelf in the Man's apartment, because there is nothing feminine here its all just art and little weird boxes he keeps buying.  Oh and candles,  he has a thing for candles.  

I made sure to get one that would match, it has orange yellow petals with violet inside, so it still is different.  He comes homes comments that it looks nice and its the end of the convo. I was just happy he didn't tell me to take it home.  

Fast forward three hours

we are at the super market and he goes "you realize how hard Orchids are to take care of." 

"I kept the care tag" I say proudly.  

He looks at me in this way that always makes me feel like he is making fun of me. We head out and he tells me that he is really good with plants.  He bought all the ones at his moms house (and her house is filled) and grew them for her. At his first apartment he had a room dedicated to weird plants and flowers, stemming from when he started to grow weed at age 13.  

I try to do something feminine just once and he out ranks me again. 

But its good in the long run, he will take care of the flower mwahahah
