For canon characters with alters... I think Chuuya has one Verlaine that acts very differently from the actual one, probably formed around when the first met and based off the limited info Chuuya knew about him. Because of this he's very silent, angry, and destructive, it's not ideal for his system but it works in my mind.

I think Sigma would in canon have a Fyodor introject based off the 'bad' side, but also she could have a caregiver version. I think that would confuse her especially if this Fyodor introject was very nice to the rest of the system as well and can be found in headspace baking cookies.

I would say that the Mori alters that Yosano and Dazai have are similar to the Sigma situation, or else they're heightened to be 'persecutory' (if that makes sense).

Dazai maybe also has an 'ideal' version of a few people, while I'm thinking of Ranpo, the side that can solve any problem and do everything which is unlike the real Ranpo who is more of a nervous wreck (although he hides it).

Ranpo Fukuzawa alter could also be interesting. Again, very idealized and more physically caring than the canon Fukuzawa- Possibly acts in a way that Ranpo subconsciously wants more from his father figure.

Does any of the ADA know dazai is a system?

I think so, it depends on how angsty I'm feeling but:

Ranpo 100% knows in every AU, he Knows

Yosano knows a lot as well (probably because Dazai has tried getting her to 'fix' him while drunk)

Kunikida.... I think in a normal AU where everyone is happy he knows. But I think otherwise like Atsushi he has no idea what the right words are and can be kinda mean about the memory loss because Dazai hasn't explained why he has it

Atsushi probably suspects but doesn't know what DID is so can't say

Kenji, knows but thinks that everyone has a system so doesn't say anything

Kyouka has no idea

Fukuzawa... Also has no idea

he has a syskid that's essentially . him when he was 15 but basically permanently age regressed to baby ages. also attached to chuuya and will Wail if it doesn't get chuuya right that instant (projecting so hard)

Dazai could be anywhere and this alter can just be heard going "where baba?" And he has to locate chuuya then and there... Or else

Agreed 100%, his system is small but very dysfunctional. This man is not thriving with the memory loss or the one very young alter that sometimes fronts during work hours and can somehow complete his work better than anyone else in the system.

I think it would be very funny if Oda knew Dazai was a system and Dazai was polyfragmented so he sits there listening to Dazai talk about his 200+ alters and he sits there like "thank God I only have to deal with five alters" and gets so stressed thinking about how someone else can cope with 200+ alters

Bonus points: if he meets Chuuya and casually asks about alter count, and Chuuya responds with "Dunno like... 1000? Why?" And Ango nearly faints thinking about it

you guys are gonna love my dazai system au where the system is composed of osamu (canon dazai, works at the ada) dazai (beastzai, port mafia executive (or boss, take your pick)) and fyodor (fyodor) and its pure comedy through and through - @idealism-world

This is such a funny idea! They all have so much potential of being in a system and being so differemt yet so similar. I love the fact that Fyodor is there too.

Transmasc chuuya with fem alter fronting x transfem dazaj with masc alter fronting (as soon as they switch out dazai and chuuya both cry)

They're going on a date that they arranged to do weeks ago but one out they switch and are forced to go home because of dysphoria... Such is the life of a system.
