Guildtober Day 8: Collaboration with other a Pokémon

For day 8 I decided to draw Dazell of the Specters guiding @kaidacreator’s Team Ethereal through the Windfall Forest mystery dungeon after they mysteriously ended up in the world of Crystalline Eventide. It seems like they are being tracked by some other worldly light. This also serves as a birthday present for Kaida, so happy birthday Kaida! You’re an amazing friend!

In relation to the Razell and Dazell ask below, you think you could give writing dialogue for them a try? Like what they would say when challenging you to a battle, being defeated, and what they say afterwards.

If I had my way, I’d hire former GS employees to mod Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness to make this a reality along with many other things.

Scenario Written in Script Format from the perspective of a player playing XD:GoD:

This will take a lot of text so please forgive me. To make sense of why they’d want to battle and what would prompt them to leave their place in the Krabby Club to battle, I have made a tiny fanfiction that’s more like a description of an in-game event that doesn’t exist in XD. It is also my ability to make fan fiction like a normal person so please don’t judge the gross format here that’s meant to display text as if it were said in-game.

This is my take on what sort of situation would let the player battle these two hypothetical trainers in XD’s late post-game.

At some point after Dragonite was Snagged, leaving Miror B and his posse at the Krabby Club, Razell and Dazell will be found outside of the diner. Miror B’s backup will be replaced with a pair of dancing Ludicolos rather than the magicians. The sisters will only be outside once Michael has entered the diner and noticed Razell and Dazell have been replaced entirely.

The magician sisters are then discovered standing just outside the patio, facing each other with their respective colored pins in hand. You walk up to them and inspect Razell first. No matter who who inspect, what follows remains the same.

SCENARIO BEGINS WITH “A” PRESSED 

Razell: Unbelievable!

Dazell: Razell please...

Razell: How can it be? That big afro guy upstaged us so much people came in to the Club wanting more of him! The nerve!

(Razell then turns to Michael)

Razell: The Krabby Club was our home turf! What are we going to do now?

Dazell: Wait a second Razell, do you remember him?

(A surprised ping appears over her head briefly)

Razell: Oh that’s right! You’re the famous kid! And I remember you from Pyrite Town.

Dazell: Despite how you look, you must be a real good battler huh?

Razell: Wait Dazell, do you think we can try Pokemon battling too?

Dazell: What?! But we’ve always been magicians!

Razell: I’m not saying we should change careers! Let me try this!

(Razell turns back to Michael)

Razell before battle: Fight me and my Pokemon! The both of us together!

(Yes/No Prompt)

Yes: (Battle Starts)

No: (Razell: Come back when you’re ready! We’ve got time!)

Razell Defeated: Was I any good at this?

(Upon defeat, Dazell approaches. Pokemon aren’t healed in-between battles to keep true to the difficulty of the game.)

Dazell before battle: Don’t let up! Let me and my Pokemon try battling too!

Dazell Defeated: I guess this Double Battle act is too different from our act...

(Now out of battle afterwards)

Razell: If we’re not wanted here and we’re no good at battling, then what do we do? ... sniff

Dazell: Don’t cry Razell, maybe they can broadcast us again over at ONBS?

Razell: But what if they-

Suddenly, a Navigator NPC runs out of the Krabby Club.

Navigator NPC: Hey!! Razell! Dazell! What are you two doing out here?

Razell: We’re going away!

Dazell: Razell please...

Navigator NPC: What? You’re leaving? Why?”

Dazell: We’re all washed up...

Navigator NPC: No no no! We love you! We still love you two!

(Suddenly the Navigator NPC disappears back into the Krabby Club with a text box appearing promptly afterward.)

NPC: Hey you guys! The magicians are leaving for good!

NPCS: What?! Stop the music!

(The text box disappears. Out of the club’s front doorway enters the Navigator NPC, a Sailor NPC, a Hunter NPC, and Perr. What follows are text shown quickly in succession.)

“Don’t leave!”

“We love you!”

“We’ll miss you!”

(The audience has spoken. Razell and Dazell turn to each other once more before facing Michael)

Razell: I guess they still want us?

(Yes/No Prompt)

Yes: Dazell: Of course they still love us!

No: Dazell: Don’t be dumb kid, look at them!

Razell: I guess they want more of us! But now I’ve gotten inspiration from our battle for our act!

Dazell: Thank you for helping us kid! Come visit us if your parents let you!

(The magicians run back into the building, leaving Michael behind outside.)
