Stuck Together

Ben and Gwen have been stuck together in this world for a while now. They’ve been partners in crime fighting in a world where nobody knew them. They’d become friends and maybe...no. Nothing more as of now. He admired her of course, and he had the inkling of a feeling it went both ways. But she was too hot headed and so was he. Even so, they got along most of the time.
While out to get coffee, Ben’s hand brushes against Gwen’s. Their hands lock.
“Let go of my hand Gwen...come on, I need both hands here.”
Ben tugs on Gwen’s arm, trying to free himself. But it seems stuck...
“Gwen...I can’t let go...my hand is stuck. Try letting go.”
He shakes his arm vigorously
“Gwen?”
