Not me realizing just now that the way Saft and Corv first meet MATCHES parallels of how Saft's parents first met. 1. - Caught in a fucking storm 2. - The human character being the one to stumble across the dragon character. 3. - Dragon character basically asks to be kept safe for a little while.
So me and @goodmode watched the Pete's Dragon flick from 1977 last night and we somehow managed to find the uncut version (HUZZAH.) So we got to watch the whole thing without the weird more recent edits that take a lot of the story out. But I literally just realized that of my DB characters might as well be a HUGE super callout to that flick. (I mean we already have a fishing village whose name is slightly ripped off from Passamaquady. But uh...In the movie we have Nora. Saft's mother is called "Sora" which is a random name I nabbed because it meant Sky and I liked it. Now I notice that it actually rhymes with the name "Nora" and if that's not a definite call-out to one of my favorite pieces of dragon related media IDK what is.
