Can you give a snippet of Dream's relationship like with the Eternal Family, like with Phil and Kristen, Wilbur and Sally, and the Bench Trio
I could literally not care less about spoilers. If I am asked I will answer! Its my belief that an author should be able to tell the whole plot and still have readers excited by what they write!
SO YES I WILL ABSOLUTELY TELL YOU ABOUT THE FAMILY DYNAMICS!!!!
The Sally and Dream alliance is strong. Sally is literally the only one in the household that actually understands what Dreams going through. She can be off by a little bit, as the time in which she was kidnapped had different opinions on women and stuff in general (I think I've mentioned the year she was kidnapped before in a post. She's the only character with an exact date I believe :D). She was also kidnapped by Wilbur, who in this fic is generally more charming then Techno, so she really didn't stand a chance. But yeah, Dream drifts towards Sally the most.
Philza and Kristen,,,, hmmm..... I know a lot of fics have them as a source of comfort or guidance but that doesn't really work here. They're the two that started it all, and although Kristen wasn't kidnapped, it doesn't really make Dream feel better. Their story definitely helps Dream sympathise, but he's mainly neutral to them.
Dream does not get along with Wilbur. I'd say Wilbur is the most extreme out of them in regards to the kidnapping situation. Wilbur is a hopeless romantic. Add that to the family and you've got a guy most definitely willing to do anything for them to fall in love. He encourages Techno in some of the more worst options he could possibly take, and he is constantly trying to get Dream and Techno together which makes Dream uncomfortable. Wilbur has no sympathy/empathy to Dream. So Dream doesn't like him.
BENCH TRIO MY BELOVED. We getting all the pos relationships between them and Dream!! As all three are permanently mentally and physically teenagers, Dream kind of slips easily into an older brother role, both because of his bio younger siblings and because it helps distract him from the situation going on. All three are also the only ones that have enough tack to not constantly bring up the 'one' thing and Techno, so that helps.
Tubbo and Ranboo weren't there when Wilbur found Sally. Tubbo is slightly unhinged and ride or die with Tommy while Ranboo holds their leashes. So Ranboo is legit the only one of the three that is kinda like, 'ye its a little fucked up do you want to talk/hang out with my mums'.
Speaking of the mums ;). Niki and Puffy are Tubbo and Ranboos adoptive mums. They have a similar story of becoming immortal as the sbi does, they just have to do other things instead of killing. They are firmly in Dreams corner and while they can’t help him get out of the situation permanently they are definitely a safe space for Dream and Sally
