he has sooo much ska stuff on him lol. im a young white american so a lot of 80s ska subculture isn't stuff i have knowledge about but on first glance he has a "ska" pin and a black & white checkered pin, both of which are pretty self explanatory to me.
HOWEVER, he has a pin that's 3 horizontal stripes green, yellow, red. me and my fiance had been losing it trying to figure out what flag it was. he was thinking it might be regional flag, best i could find was ethiopia. we put that search on pause and i started looking into his "rude boys" patch bc i was curious
the origin of rude boys comes from jamaica, and immigrants to the UK brought the rude boy subculture and ska music with them (cool!) however, that doesn't explain the ethiopian flag or why charles is wearing it. so i look up the actor's ethnicity bc im thinking maybe it's a nod to the actor and he's not just white/indian
well, in an older interview he mentioned his dad being indian/jamaician, and his mom being indian/white. (also cool!) (extra cool bc he's said his dad was part of the subculture charles' was in the 80s so he talked to his dad for the role... VERY cool that his dad is jamaican!)
and then my fiance finds a ska band called the ethiopians (made up of jamaicans)!

the more screen grabs i see of niko when the fungus was floating around her head in pretty colors the more apparent it becomes that the fun little floating shapes are glowing in the colors of the pan flag and listen im not saying that this means anything but i am saying that this means something
