Displeased, King Artur sat upon his gilded throne, hand resting on his face as Eune stood before him, head bowed. The man held a scroll in hand as he looked at the man he was sworn to obey.
“Missing you said?” Artur said languidly, his posture relaxed but it was in his piercing gaze that told a different story.
“Yes your majesty, Syranna said it’s magic,” Eune murmured. The slender woman stood besides Eune, her head held tall. She was braver than Eune who’s figure was arched at a 90 degree angle, face staring at the floor, not daring to step forward a single step.
“Shall we order an investigation? Whoever dares to steal from the King at a time like this ... well, it’s treason,” Syranna’s voice soft, speaking to the long haired king as if she were attempting to soothe a child.
Artur’s jaw clenched, but in a few seconds, he relaxed once more - the fiery gaze that once resided in his eyes had been quelled. “Do what Syranna suggests, I demand it Eune.” He flicked his wrist as if to shoo the man away to hurry along.
“Yes your majesty,” Eune responded, finally straightening his back as he was off again, doing Artur’s bidding as always.
"You’re out of your mind if you think we have enough people,” Klio said sharply, her dark hair whipping around as she stared at the man that was so called the divine ruler of the kingdom. It took all of her self restraint not to sneer. “Tell him Pike,” her voice cut through the air like a knife.
“What she’s trying to say is that we need to gather more troops to make sure we have a chance against Brittania you know,” Pike jumped in between the pair, attempting to soothe the tension between the two.
After a pause, Cadan spoke again, his fingers ran through his hair. “Fine, but we don’t only need recruits, we need resources in order to make sure that we can sustain our numbers. If we can grow our numbers that is,” he murmured.
“Let’s split up as a group and search through our own means and reunite afterwards.” Klio said, her tone clear that she wasn’t open to suggestions.
Cadan looked at his friend, Pike’s mouth was shut but he shook his head - as if to encourage Cadan to comply.
The dark haired man looked at the fairy princess once more, “Let’s do it your way. It better work.”
Satisfaction flashed upon Klio’s visage, “oh it will.”
Artur’s team goal is to capture traitors. Eune reports that there has been missing / stolen money from the King’s vault and thus they are tracking that down. It also appears that a lot of coins they are finding have been made through counterfeits and magic (according to Syranna)
Cadan’s mission to increase their recruitment numbers. Pike is attempting to increase morale and spread the word as Klio does the same, looking to find lost souls who are interested in joining the battle. While they do this they are also looking for more resources to sustain their impending battle with the other team.
