The UAE government has taken countless initiatives to bridge the gender gap so that women can contribute and excel in their careers. The following are a few definitive examples of how the UAE is certainly the torch-bearer of women empowerment:
Among the Gulf Co-operation Council region, the UAE takes the lead with various ongoing initiatives for women rights and equality, an example of which is the Gender Balance Council established in 2015.
