Albert never died, I refuse to believe it. He’s actually moved on elsewhere and is one of the best detectives there are, climbing the ranks faster than Sullivan. His death was actually faked so that he could escape the Illuminati.

Minor Characters Day

expanding on this odd modern au with some brief character notes (from me and @tea-and-geekdom)

Sullivan - dnd dungeon master, twitch streamer, model painter, artist

Sid - stunt performer, acrobat, mixed martial arts

They meet at a convention while in the State and start talking. Eventually exchange numbers. They text while Sullivan is back in England and Sid still in the US.

Felicia - novelist with a specialty in erotica

Bunty - make-up guru  youtuber

Felicia and Sullivan are childhood friends and have always been close. When Lady F takes in little child Bunty, officially adopting her, Sullivan is Bunty's male parent figure because he's always around and there to support Felicia - who's single - raise Bunty. He’s always been Uncle Sully to Bunty.

Valentine - stunt team co-ordinator

Works with Sid a lot, and they're friends, though Valentine often has to scold Sid for being a bit too reckless with his stunts.

Mrs McCarthy - Sid's neighbour

(Father) Arthur Brown - actor, Sid’s neighbour growing up

Sid grew up around them both, and they became parental figures to him. Mrs M still lives close enough by - before Sid moves in with Sullivan - that she watches over his flat when he’s away. Arthur is an actor, most known for playing a priest on a tv show, and that’s why Sid calls him Father not because he’s basically Sid’s dad, not at all.

Flambeau - editor/publisher

He edits/publishes Lady Felicia’s novels and becomes a close friend of hers, which is how he comes to know Sullivan. He knows Arthur through the publishing business, as Arthur is writing an autobiography, and  is how he also is vaguely away of Sid.

Goodfellow - a ‘how to’ dad youtuber

Albert - retail worker, nerd culture youtuber

Goodfellow makes videos like ‘how to change your car oil’ and ‘how to cook an egg,’ with very sweet dad overtones. Albert is a small scale youtuber who makes generally nerdy content. They both meet, and also meet Sid and Sullivan at a convention; Sid and Albert both watch Goodfellow’s channel, and Albert and Goodfellow both watch Sullivan’s, and it’s how it leads to the ‘noobs play dnd’ series.

Mallory - an accountant

He helps manage Sullivan, Goodfellow, Bunty and Albert’s finances. Occasionally gets dragged into shit to give the firm some PR but never really understands; that fantasy stuff goes right over his head.
