I kind of hate DC K.O.
I didn't like the initial concept in the first place. An event of just fights is an event of the most boring use of the medium. Unless a fight scene is strikingly well drawn or there is good dialogue in it, I usually skim it because I do not care for them.
But I was interested because it had two of my favorite characters, Supergirl and Damian Wayne, and I thought they might stand a chance. Only to find out that they are out round one, just like 75% of the people of color and 8/11 women in the tournament. Many of them I thought stood a decent chance.
What made me hate it is Red Hood vs Joker. I don't like either of these characters. Neither of them have captured my interest in a single story or movie. And this is round 2, meaning each of them have advanced instead of other characters.
So who did Joker beat out to traumatize Jason Todd again? Star Sapphire. They want me to believe he beat out someone with a fucking lantern ring. Who did Jason Todd beat out? Damian. I can almost see that. I still think it's fucking stupid, but I can see it as a possibility.
I don't think I'd even mind as much if half of this wasn't already spoiled. We already know the final eight, so half of the suspense is gone.
And honestly, it's just hard for me to give a shit at this point.
This is all a stupid ramble, but I needed to get these feelings out there and hopefully find at least someone who agrees with me.
