Bringing Whitechapel Back - how we are faring so far
First of all, big 'thank you' to everyone who tweeted ITV yesterday!
I thought you might want an update on this first stage of our campaign. I have to say that it does not look especially overwhelming. There were 17 people in total who posted their tweets yesterday/today and I'm afraid it is not enough. I also severely underestimated the amount of tweets ITV receives daily. If we expect our campaign to have any sort of effect - or even just be a blip on the ITV's collective consciousness (or just the consciousness of the people responsible for their Twitter account) - we need at the very least 50 people checking in with their tweets every Wednesday.
That's why I'm literally begging you at this point: if you don't have a Twitter account, please create one. You don't need to use it for anything else, but given the long-term nature of the campaign, it will really make a difference if you contribute.
If, on the other hand, you've got any suggestions about other platforms or other channels of getting ITV to renew the series, please do say something.
It will really take every single one of you (us) to make this work. Let's make #BringBackWhitechapel the most trending thing in the history of Twitter.
See ya all next Wednesday.
And here's something to cheer you on :)
