DCA Info Part 68: Meet Maddison Liddel 💀

Twisted from: Alice from American McGee’s Alice

Maddison Liddel (マディソン・リデル, Madison Rideru) is a 2nd year student affiliated with the Futterwacken dorm and is the twin sister of Allison.

History

Maddison was born and raised in the Kingdom of Gardenia, being the daughter of Lewis Liddel and his wife, as well as being the younger twin sister of Allison Liddel.

The sisters’ early years were tolerable because not only did they have each other, but they had their mother to comfort them when their father scolded them. However, when their parents divorced and their mother lost custody of them due to Lewis having more influence and pulled strings to win the court case.

Personality

In contrast to her free spirited sister, Maddison is quiet and reserved but she’s noted to be clever. Despite her stern look, she does care about her sister.

Appearance

Maddison is a girl of average height in her mid-teens. She has dark turquoise eyes, however her hair color and hair style differs greatly in both designs. Her ensembles have darker, more muted colors.

First School Uniform

In her first school uniform, Maddison’s curly hair is the same color as her sister’s and she has bangs parted to the side.

She wears a cerulean blue dress over a black diamond pattern skirt. The top portion of the dress features a black diamond printed portion with gold trim and buttons and lace trim, puff sleeves with white cuffs with gold buttons and in the center of the top are four turquoise gem buttons, with two on each side. The skirt of the dress is asymmetrical and is worn over lace. The black diamond printed underskirt has the symbols Jupiter and Eris on the left side of the skirt. Maddison’s footwear consists of a pair of cerulean heeled shoes with gold soles and heels alongside a pair of leg warmers with a black diamond pattern, gold trim and buttons and lace trimming.

Maddison accessorizes with a pale gold hair pin shaped like a cracked heart with a cracked crown with one half having a red jewel. She also accessorizes with a black glove on her left hand and a cerulean and white arm warmer on her right hand with a black bracelet with a gold pocket watch attached to a gold key resembling the symbol for Mercury.

Second School Uniform

In her second school uniform, Maddison’s skin is now more peach colored, her hair is now off red and she has cerulean nails.

She wears a dark muted cerulean dress with a gold collar trim, a ruffle collar with white trim, white gold trimmed cuffs, a white upper apron, and the skirt having gold trim. For footwear, Maddison wears a pair of dark muted cerulean boots with gold detailing, as well as three black straps and gold buckles, as well as white and gray stockings.

Maddison accessorizes with a dark muted cerulean checkerboard hair bow with a scarlet jewel brooch that resembles a demonic eye, a red clock brooch, a pale gold belt with a pair of turquoise to red ombre heart shaped brooches with the left one having a demonic happy face while the right one has a worried expression. The most notable accessory is the skull-like head with a pink bow attached to a key.

School Statistics

Sophie is a 17 year old 2nd year student. She is classified as Student #4 and is in Class 2-E. She is a member of the Fairy Keeping Club and her best as well as favorite subject is Animal Linguistics since she finds it easier to talk to animals. Her least favorite school subject is Party Hosting since she is not fond of them anymore due to her household situation.

Relationships

Maddison cares about Allison and has a good relationship with her.

Trivia

• She shares her birthday with Allison on May 4th, making her a Taurus.

• Details on both of her ensembles references Alice from American McGee’s Alice, while her second ensemble bears some resemblance to the ensemble of the game’s protagonist.

• The eye jewel on her hair bow on her second ensemble resembles an Eyepot.

• The skull like head on her second ensemble resembles the doll like enemies in Alice: Madness Returns.

DCA Info Part 67: Changes to Cerule’s Aquatic Form

Cerule’s Aquatic Form (Revisited)

Cerule’s aquatic form drastically changed over time. Her long tail with a long red dorsal fin is now separate from her body, divided by red V shaped markings and red detailing resembling the arms of a jellyfish. Additionally, Cerule sports a yellow seashell bikini over a red one and most notably, off red markings on her arms, midriff and back resembling a mermaid’s tail and a trident respectively. Near the bottom right is a length comparison between Cerule, Azul and the Leech Twins.

Charbyss and Caeta’s Redesigns

As with their daughter, Charbyss and Caeta received redesigns that greatly contrast their original designs and descriptions.

Charbyss’s design bears similarities to a lionfish and is slightly less intimidating. His body is mostly orange with off white and brown stripes, an orange dorsal fin, webbed fins with maroon rays and orange insides on his head, three pairs on his body and tail. He has light blue eyes and a bronze brooch with diamond detail and orange pearl on his forehead.

Caeta is the sheer embodiment of elegance, with her design taking inspiration from a betta fish. Her body is pale lavender with various faded purple spots, a white dorsal fin and tails resembling lace with grayish purple rays. Much like her husband, she has blue eyes with their color leaning more towards periwinkle and a silver brooch with circular detail and a light blue pearl.

DCA Info Part 66: Dorm Leader 3rd Edition Redesigns (Part 2)

Much like their Dorm Fairy companions, the girls also got redesigned! The reason being is that Phoenix felt she was making them look to simple. So she chose to once again redesign them, only this time, designing them to cater more to their preferences and personalities, as well as matching the aesthetics of each Disney Princesses' respective movies.

📚 Rozeline Pierrette

Rozeline's new ensemble was created to represent both Belle and Beast. As well as being an ensemble that looks conservative or old school, not caring for aesthetic outfits and just picked an old pattern from the dress book. Her now unkempt hair is dark brown with a single white streak.

Rozeline's ensemble consists of a muted navy blue long puff sleeve bolero jacket with gold trim with the collar having gold circular roses and the sleeves having white cuffs. She also wears a yellow maxi skirt with muted navy blue and gold trim. For footwear, Rozeline wears a pair of black and white heeled Oxford shoes with gray leggings.

Rozeline accessorizes with a black veil that covers her eyes attached to a muted navy blue bonnet with gold trim, pale yellow roses and black horns, a white ruffle tie, a pale yellow rose brooch with a muted yellow gem brooch in the center and pale tan ribbon with gold trim, a gold belt with ribbon detailing, black gloves and a muted gold crown ring with a yellow jewel on her right index finger.

🏝️ Vidya Nazari

Vidya's ensemble is meant to be a fusion of both Aladdin and Jasmine's respective ensembles, with the top portion taking inspiration from Aladdin's Prince Ali persona. The purple sash was a gift from Kalim and not only serves as a reference to the Magic Carpet, but also reference Kalim's hometown.

Vidya's ensemble consists of a black tunic worn underneath a bedlah top with off-the-shoulder straps with gold accents and matching salwar pants with a gold V-shaped waistline with an opening below the knees and gold trim. For footwear, Vidya wears a pair of curled shoes that are muted navy and feature gold soles and accents.

Vidya accessorizes with a pale gold tiara with a blue diamond-shaped jewel in the center, a pair of blue diamond shaped jewel earrings, a gold choker with blue diamonds, gold shoulder pads with hanging gold threads with a blue diamond brooch in the center, a gold bracelet with blue diamond jewels, a purple sash with floral and swirl designs and gold trim, a gold waist chain with blue diamonds, gold rings above her shoes and a pale gold crown ring with a blue jewel on her left index finger.

🐲 Jinlong Esi

Jinlong received a very notable redesign, now resembling more of an eastern dragon while also possessing turquoise horns, off red nails, three pointed toes with red claws, and a red tail with teal spikes and gold underbelly, the tail also has copper colored fluff at the tip. Jinlong's hair is now in a single ponytail.

Jinlong's ensemble consists of a navy blue martial arts tunic with gold trim, a maroon collar with teal circular gems attached to gold tassels and maroon cuffs with gold detailing. Underneath the tunic is a pair of blue-green pants with gold trim. For footwear, Jinlong sports a pair of navy blue sandals with maroon detailing and straps.

Jinlong accessorizes with a teal earring on her left ear, a pair of oversized turquoise bracelets, a maroon belt with gold trim and designs with a large circular gold brooch with a turquoise gem embedded in the center, and a gold crown ring with a maroon jewel on her right index finger.

🐻 Elu Sorrel

Elu has a slightly more muscular physique due to being a hunter while her ensemble looking more modern and much like Allison and Jinlong, offering more mobility. To avoid making her look to similar to Leona, Elu's braids were moved to be around her ears (though not shown in the picture above).

Elu's ensemble consists of a tan sleeveless turtleneck tunic with baggy pants that include fringes worn underneath what appears to be a brown corset with the bottom having fringes and a dark teal corset with various pale red diamond details and pale red threads. For footwear, Elu wears a pair of light tan boots with teal and white straps and fringes near one of the ends.

Elu accessorizes with a brown cloak with a white trimmed fur hood with the bottom featuring a teal and red diamond design and fringes, a pair of gold goggles, pale red arm bands with teal beads, a brown necklace with red and teal beads with a brown brooch with an orange gem embedded inside and teal, white, red feathers with red beads, brown gloves and a pale gold crown ring with an orange jewel on her left index finger.

🐸 Perrine Bousquet

Perrine ensemble bears some resemblance to the flapper dress that Tiana wears at the end of The Princess and the Frog, while also wanting to match the aesthetics of the 1920s. Perrine's hair is now a golden blonde curly bob cut and she now has green eyeshadow.

Perrine's ensemble consists of an off white green tinted blouse worn underneath a pastel green dress with the top portion resembling a blazer, with green lapels and cuffs. For footwear, Perrine wears a pair of green pumps, a style popular with working women in the 1920s as they featured minimal decorations and were less expensive than trendy strap shoes or lattice pumps.

Perrine accessorizes with a green cloche hat with a light green satin ribbon with a yellow flower with green leaves and a green circular gem in the center, a silver necklace with a green gem pendant, a yellow flower brooch with green leaves and a vine as well as a silver circular brooch with floral detailing and a circular green gem in the center, a pair of pastel green gloves and a silver crown ring with a green jewel on her left index finger.

🍎 Evonie Apfel

Now resembling a soldier, Evonie's hair is now in a wavy low ponytail offering her much more mobility when she's fencing.

Her ensemble now consists of a pale yellow tunic with a sweetheart bodice and gold trim worn underneath a blue vest with gold trim, a pair of red gem buttons on each side of the vest each attached to a pair of gold toggles, red transparent floral printed bishop sleeves, and a small cleavage cutout. For footwear, Evonie wears a pair of black heeled shoes with gold circular buckles and blue cuffs with similar looking buckles, she's also shown wearing red socks.

Evonie accessorizes with a gold circlet with a red diamond jewel, a gold brooch with a red diamond on the center of her vest collar, black gloves worn underneath a pair of blue fingerless gloves with gold trim and a pair of pale yellow lace gloves underneath, a brown belt with a circular buckle and a gold crown ring with a red jewel on her right index finger.

👠 Ella Glaciel

With a more professional ensemble due to representing her family's brand, Ella wears an ensemble that appears to take inspiration from Cinderella's servant uniform. The shoes were made and gifted to her by her father to serve as a memento of him when she enrolled. Like he's with her in spirit, he's thinking about her, and/or the shoes serve as a reminder of how he cherishes her dearly.

Ella's hair is now a lighter pink shade and she is shown wearing muted blue eyeshadow. The ensemble Ella wears consists of a white puff sleeve top with the sleeves having a silver outline, muted blue cuffs and muted dark blue ruffle. The top is worn underneath a muted pale blue dress with the upper part having the center portion a darker color, and a pair of white gem buttons on each side of the center attached to a pair of silver toggles. At the dress' waist, there is a pocket with the opening of it having muted navy blue trim and silver outline and a circular white gem attached to muted dark blue ribbon. The dress' skirt has a thin silver trim, muted blue trim and muted dark blue ruffle trim. For footwear, Ella wears a pair of muted blue heeled loafers with silver details and dark blue bows alongside white leggings with thin lines.

Ella accessorizes with silver three pointed tiara with a white oval gem worn behind a muted navy blue hair bow, a pair of pearl earrings, a muted navy blue cross tie with a silver brooch with three silver flowers and pale blue gems on the bottom and blue bird wings on each side with a light blue gem with a feather outline in the center, and a silver crown ring with a white jewel on her right index finger.

🐰 Allison Liddel

Allison's new ensemble was made to be the polar opposite of her twin Maddison, as well as being made for active movement since she's constantly moving. Allison's hair is also a softer color than prior and has turquoise eyeshadow.

The ensemble consists of a white top with puff sleeves that include turquoise and gold cuffs. The top is worn underneath a muted turquoise mismatched jumper with suspenders and gold rectangular buckles and trim. For footwear, Allison sports a pair of black boots with gold rectangular buckles with white leggings.

Allison accessorizes with a black ribbon headband with a crown shaped charm in the center, a gold clock brooch with a turquoise and purple gradient, a pair of black waistbands and most notably a chain on her suspenders with charms shaped like a purple mushroom, a white rose with red paint and an orange cat attached to a a turquoise cookie brooch with the words "EAT ME" in pink and a gold key with card suit shapes and the bit resembling an eaten cookie.

🌹 Briar Auroria

Briar's new ensemble was made to inline her with Aurora's Briar Rose persona, with the ensemble's color palette being more muted to make her resemble more of a young woman. The sash was gifted to her by Yolanda as a congratulatory gift. As a tribute to her friend, Briar commissioned her uniform to complement the sash. Her golden blonde hair is also slightly darker and she has magenta eyeshadow.

Briar's ensemble consists of a white-pinkish tinted blouse worn underneath a muted brownish purple sweetheart bodice with muted gold trim and a muted mauve pink skirt. For footwear, Briar wears a pair of flat sharp black shoes with gold buckles alongside grayish purple leggings.

Briar accessorizes with a muted gold five pointed tiara, a rectangular gold brooch with a magenta gem embedded inside on her bodice, a muted fuchsia shawl with magenta gems with muted gold tassels on each side, each of which connected by a pale gold chain, a brownish purple sash with brown trim, diamond designs and the gem in the center matching the brooch, and a muted gold crown ring with a magenta jewel on her right index finger.

🐠 Cerule Oceana

Cerule's ensemble looks more sporty and less cluttered than her previous ensembles. Most notably, Cerule's hair features three ahoges and the rest of her hair is in a twist ponytail as an homage to her mermaid heritage. She also wears purple eyeshadow.

Cerule wears a turquoise sleeveless one piece sailor suit with the center being an off white color, has eight purple gem buttons and silver trimming. For footwear, Cerule sports a pair of turquoise boots with silver soles and transparent turquoise cuffs that resemble mermaid fins.

Cerule accessorizes with a pearl headband with each strap attached to a yellow seashell above her ear with the left one having a silver teardrop brooch with a purple gem embedded inside, a light brown choker attached to a silver hoop charm which is attached to a yellow seashell with three pearls on top, a violet scarf, a pair of pearl bracelets over brown waistbands, a brown belt with a yellow seashell satchel, a turquoise transparent wrap that resembles a mermaid's tail fin and a silver crown ring with a purple jewel on her right index finger.

DCA Info Part 64: Cut 2021 Holiday Season Content

The reason for these being cut was due to Phoenix feeling like the art was rushed. Anyway let's get to the content.

The Outfits

These are the dresses that were to be featured. The orange dress with floral accents on the top left was for Perrine, the green dress with holly plants was meant for Ottilie, and the similar looking red and green dresses with gold star accents were meant for Allison and Maddison respectively.

DCA Info Part 63: Halloween Outfits

Jinlong as Thorn Dragon

Much like how Diasomnia's costumes were based on Jiangshi, hoping vampires in Chinese folklore and their theme was based on East Asian Dragons, Jinlong's costume is based on western dragons, the kind commonly seen in fantasy literature or fairy tales.

In the Prototype, the outfit consisted of a gray gown with a gold and black collar, armor like accessories above the elbow, a belt and cuffs. The skirt appeared to have a slit at the side that reveals purple ruffles. The outfit also includes a pair of gray stockings with thorn detailing and black heels with gold trim and soles.

The Final Version of this costume has the colors differ greatly, now having a purple and black color scheme with the interior of the skirt being green and now having black ruffles. The outfit now has a pair of silver and black heels and purple stockings with roses and thorns. The gown additionally includes a chain attached to the belt buckle and said chain is attached to a heart charm with a sword in the center.

Elu as Bear Totem

Inspired by the world of Brother Bear, Elu's ensemble is based on Kenai, the protagonist of Brother Bear.

In the Prototype, the costume consisted of a tan parka with white fur trim, diamond like designs on the upper sleeves, and bear claw markings. The rest of the outfit consisted of a blue necklace with yellow diamonds and a bear in the center, a brown belt, a brown skirt and pants, with the pants having diamond like designs and brown shoes.

The Final Version of this costume keeps the costume mostly the same but the colors have been changed and the bear claw markings have been replaced by the same diamond like designs.

Allison as Rag Bones

This lolita like ensemble is inspired by Jack Skellington and Sally from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

In the Prototype, the costume consisted of a yellow dress shirt layered underneath a black and white striped bolero blazer with gray trim and bows, also included was a black bowtie with a gray cat pendant with wings that resembled those of a bat. The skirt was designed with a patchwork like feel to it, with the skirt having three colors, green with stripes and spots, yellow with black dots and purple with stripes. Also included was a waist chain that consisted of black, purple and orange beads and having charms that resemble candy corn, a star, a moon and a jack o lantern.

The Final Version of this costume is slightly altered, with the dress shirt now being purple and the bolero blazer now having orange stripes and bows, as well as having puffs. The chain of beads is now gold and features skulls and the skirt now has a red tartan part replacing the green portion. The skirt's interior is also now purple. The stockings are made to resemble stitched up legs and feature the same patterns on the skirt. For footwear, Allison sports a pair of black loafers. Allison wears a black headband with a pumpkin on it and the pumpkin has purple bat wings. On the topic of wings, Allison also sports a pair of fake wings that resemble those of a bat with black trim and the interior being purple with Halloween patterns on it.

Briar as Wilting Baby's Breath

Resembling a wedding dress, this costume is inspired by another one of Tim Burton's films, Corpse Bride, with the outfit being based on Emily, the titular corpse bride.

In the Prototype, the costume consisted of a white sweetheart wedding dress with baby's breath flowers on the left side of the bodice and white roses on the right of the two layered tattered skirt.

The Final Version of this costume remains mostly untouched but now includes a blue bead chain around the waist and the second layer of the skirt is now sparkly blue with swirl like patterns. The dress also appears to have a baby blue tint. Briar also wears a pair of pale blue heels with white stockings. Briar accessorizes with a blue tattered veil with baby blue roses and a pair of white gloves with the left side having ribbon.
