Catspaw Zine Puppet Art Master Post!

- I wanted a spot to put all the puppet art I created for the fanzine. Will add to it as I draw more!

Now that the @dcafanzine is being distributed and the digital rewards were sent out, everyone is sharing their work on this amazing project!

It’s impossible for me to share all of my work as a lot of it is “invisible design work” like paginating pages, typography, formatting, Kickstarter graphics, creating merch mock ups, info sheets, and so much more.

Buuuut…. I can share the work I did with our zine mascots the Puppet DCA’s!

The first original puppet art was by @thatmooncake , but I traced and cropped/cleaned it up to be used as graphic elements. (Above)

First time drawing the puppets myself and working to keep the design consistent, setup color palettes etc.

This was made for the update when we sent out rejection letters. There is so much passion, talent, and skills in this fandom it was hard for us to pick, but we did so as unbiased as we could.

DCA Puppets! Since these are all live via the @dcafanzine Kickstarter Updates, I’m sharing the banners I made. They are not in order, I’m blaming the lack of sleep 😹

These were all made with the “go for it method”, no sketches. I’ve drawn so many of these goobers their shapes are very familiar at this point. I may or may not have drawn the last 3 at 2am last night 😅

Only a couple days left to grab physical copies of the zines and the merch!

This project is so special. My fingerprints are all over it, but it’s truly a collaborative love letter from so many of us to this fandom that’s so dear to so many more.

The campaign is up through Feb 1st 3pm EST (don’t ask why that time specifically. Ask Kickstarter how my input got messed up. Making a Kickstarter is hard! 😅)

Since we hit our goals so fast, most everyone missed the goal banner changes for @dcafanzine Glitches & Glitterglue, but I am here to remedy that!

The fanzine is at $20k+ pledged and just wow guys! I was frantically updating the Kickstarter live in the first hour to unlock tiers and add-ons and update graphics. It was crazy 😹✨💫

We are still scurrying around behind the scenes doing a lot to prep for manufacturing and fulfillment and planning more goodies.
