After being the sole proprietor of his club for almost thirty years, it had become easy as pie to host; arrange reservations’ arrival as needed, act refined, smile, say proper greetings, serve, seat. And, of course, always be on top of the guest log and the little notes made. Just for fun, he carefully crafted a persona for when he was on the clock as the Huntsman because it amused him for guests to see a different side to the normally wholesome male. Plus it was in theme for the side venture Joshua conducted.
When a certain regular sidled up to his podium at the top of the stair of his converted home, an easy grin crossed his features. “Table for one, I reckon?” he quipped, the twang in his voice still prevalent no matter what, “Business or pleasure tonight, Blackwood? Or a bit of both?”
