last time i did reference sheets of them was 3 years ago... and since i plan to commission a couple artists to draw my boys, i figured it's the right time to revamp their refs!

heyyy here are the updated profiles of genius magic, my OC boygroup! 🌸 for those who don't know, i posted the first version three years ago so it was definitely time to do this update.

genius magic is a 4-member group doing mainly the retro pop genre. their name might sound silly but hey, 1st, i came up with it when i was 13, and 2nd, it's a reference to an in-universe conspiracy theory!

they're a small but significant part of a story I'm creating. i don't wanna spoil anything about the universe so the profiles might seem vague TT (just know they aren't kpop)

- tiny leader, enormous charisma

- just here to have fun™

- music is his life!!!

- powerful vocal, incredible range

- composing; responsible for gm's signature sound

- unexpectedly cheesy

- does drag as a side project

- aesthetic: insta baddie; too unreal for this world

JUN🐺

- THE visual

- the oldest

- literally casted from the street where he was playing guitar for extra $

- instantly clicked with kousen

- nervous 24/7

- an absolute family guy, never shuts up about his mom and 3 little sisters

- aesthetic: unbuttoned shirts, neat blazers

MAX🐻

- tall.

- super low and raspy baritone

- had to fight for his right to wear pastel colors bcs stylists wanted to turn his into some kind of a bad boy

- good with words. can talk anyone into anything. writes lyrics.

- radio dj

- aesthetic: ur tall dreamy boyfriend

RIN🐈

- the youngest, the bitchiest

- that one member to sl*t drop just because

- amazing dancer

- comes from a musical background

- party animal

- can & will expose anybody anytime

- max's little cousin

- aesthetic: designer brands from head to toe. loves hats and pearls.

she's an important character in my comic but telling you anything about her story would be a major spoiler so. her birthday is 07/29

every creator has these OCs you just never seperate... for me, it's kousen's sister lily and her best friend amy (also the main vocal of the girlgroup lily's the leader of)

when you're an idol mentor but also a superhuman with 20/20 vision (that's 30-something rin and 13yo takumi. yes, rin has always been a bit of an as****e).

+rin spends most of his time with max and kousen who wear fake glasses all the time

anyway i'd like you to know rin did apologize right away and learnt to not make stupid comments like this

june 5th was genius magic's jun's birthday so i drew this lil story where kousen is a smol excited floof and jun is "just a regular guy who dances for a living"
