A Day of How-to's and What-next's March 10 marked the beginning of a networking day of adventure... Starting the morning off with a small business summit of workshops ranging from social media to navigating SBA, I left #nomaworkspaces off to a refreshingly inspired good start. Next up, Exporting 101, by ISI Consultants at #DSLBD , where the basics of deciding whether you are ready and able to export a product or service internationally. Is your product viable? In demand? Translate culturally? etc. etc. etc. Continuing on into the evening brings us to free speaking series "Nerds in Noma" where the detailed development map was provided and the community interacted with #UnionMarket #REI #JBG #Perseus #Edens about the planned businesses, parking, pedestrian routes, bike paths, mixed-use bldgs, etc. (pictured above) Closing out at #WeWorkChinatown for "101 Ways to Do Business in Africa" themed discussion, with the authors, and a roundtable of African business owners. A great way to find other startups and key tools in financial, administrative, IT and communication areas of business, connecting the US and the Diaspora. All in all, a very informative day. Full of inspiration, resources, new acquaintances, and motivation. If you have an idea-don't sit on it. Connect with others who do what you want to do or in the field. When you meet somebody new, don't be afraid to ask questions or for anything you need. Just be ready and willing with something to offer in return. Think of ways to barter your personal and professional skillsets with others who have what you need. There is no jinxing and idea or getting beside yourself. Go after what you want, and then go after more. #EA
