I want to work for the mouse so bad!!!
So I'm a little anxious. I applyed to the Disney College Program, and I had my phone interview on Thursday. I know it's only been two days haha but I'm nervous cause I saw a lot of people got in today. My roommate had her interview on tuesday and was already accepted into Quick Service food and Beverage, which she decided to decline. It makes me sad, because I would be happy to do QSFB, but I might not even get in.
My phone interview went ok. It was with Sarah, and she was extremely friendly, however, it was short and I felt like she didn't ask me many questions. Also I may have rambled a little, and I felt like some of my answers were incomplete :/ But I sounded as cheerful and excited as I possibly could (it wasn't hard because I REALLY want this) but I just feel like my nerves got the best of me during some parts of my interview. I was expecting to hang up and be completely confident, but instead I'm left very nervous and unsure. I basically said I would do any role, except for custodial or transportation. (I'm not great with vomit, and I'm a little terrified to drive a vehicle with tons of guest in it)
Sooo I'm really hoping that my openness to many roles will give me more of a chance. Of course like so many, my top choice was Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I've worked as a lifeguard at a very family oriented country club pool for 6 years, so I've had a lot of experience with interacting with guests, and handling children. I put lifguarding as a low interest on my application, because I've done it so long and I really want a new experience during my Disney College Program. During my phone interview she asked me a lot of questions about lifeguarding though, and then asked if I would be interested. I said that if I was put in the lifeguard role I would do my absolute best job, and I would be more then capable of handling emergency situations, however I would really like to be considered for different role. Then we talked about working in merchandise for a while, and even though I've never had experience working in merchandise, I think I had some pretty good answers.
I'm wondering if I should have just said I would love to work in lifeguarding again? I really have now problem with working in lifeguarding if that's where they want to put me. I hope I didn't blow it by saying I would rather be considered for other roles.
Ahhh! I don't know. haha Ever since my interview I've just been rethinking things over and over and over. I had great answers planned out for questions she didn't ask me haha and for some of the ones she asked me I had well-thought out answers too, but froze a bit and just rambled instead. Well I did sound enthusiastic at least. I just hope I get a role somewhere I really want to work for the mouse!!
Have a magical day :) congrats to all you lucky ones who already got in! I really hope I get to see you there!!
