Just over a year ago, a dream I'd had since I was 5 (working for Disney) came true! I found out I'd be moving to Florida, working in merchandise and quickly found roommates online. 3 of those roommates turned out to be some of my very best friends in the world. I am so thankful for everything I learned at Disney, the people I met, the friends I made, etc. Disney taught me so much, from how to survive a long shift, to how to deal with crazy people, to living off little to no money, to living with roommates, and more. It taught me that I can get through anything, even the toughest situations. And I'm so excited to apply all those life lessons because I've finally been accepted to
NURSING SCHOOL!!!!!!
I found on on Oct 14, and will start January 6 (I arrived in Florida Jan 7 last year!) So literally 1 year after my first dream came true, my second dream will be coming true! I am on track to graduate in April 2015!
I am so excited to start this next chapter of my life. I know I'll be busy, stressed, working hard, but it will be so worth it. I've been working towards this goal since I was 16 and took a CNA course while I was still in high school. It took a while, but I'm finally there!
All in all, I just have to be most thankful to Disney. If I hadn't gone, I would've given up on nursing school. I was about to so many times because it was "too hard" or whatever. I kept making excuses. Then, about halfway through my college program, I realized I was meant to be a nurse, and no matter how hard it was going to be, I could get through it. And now I'm about to embark on that journey :) I'm also thinking about making a youtube channel dedicated to my nursing school experiences, because I've been watching those a LOT lately, and while the ones out there are HELPFUL, most of the people making them are older than me and in a different part of their life, and I feel like I'll have a different perspective.
Obviously, I'll keep this blog, and update it. I'm assuming it will just mostly be Disney reblogs, but I'm ALWAYS glad to answer any DCP related questions!
