hc + dreams

they’re normally good dreams, but he can never remember them 12 hours later. when he tries to think back to them, it feels like a fuzzy screen trying to obstruct the image and after a while he just forgets about it since it probably wasn’t important anyway.

though, there’s still little bits of curiosity here and there that leaves him wondering what those dreams were about.

aaron’s never had much to fear since he prides himself on cocooning himself in positivity, but one thing he can say for certain is that he’s scared of fire – or more specific untamed flames. for example, it’s fine if it’s merely a candle or a small campfire, but a wildfire. just the thought of the flames licking his skin is horrifying, almost so that he flinches whenever a flame ever comes close to reaching his skin.

hc + friendship

though he’s very friendly and has handfuls upon handfuls of people he considers friends (even with him using the term loosely), it’s very rare for him to consider someone a close friend. as long as he can remember, it’s mostly been just him and his bugs against the world, adding people here and there for laughter and simple camaraderie.

at the end of the day though, there’s no secrets that he shares. despite being an open book, he keeps most to himself. it’s a strange contradiction really, one that he hasn’t picked up on yet.

nothing is more comforting to him than being outside with the sun on his skin and the breeze in his hair, dirt clinging to his knees as a result of his journeys. he likes savaging for bug pokemon high and low and it’s such a nice feeling when he’s able to catch one for himself, only to let it out again to travel along with him.

it’s the buzz he hears he assumes, or just the way they gracefully carry themselves despite how people seem to think otherwise. he isn’t quite sure, but he loves bugs all the same.

“Ah — He-hello!” A tiny wave, her other hand still holding on the strap of her big bag. He seemed... quite trustworthy, definitely a distinguished man, so he was probably the right person for what she needed. “I’m really sorry to bother you, I hope you’re not busy!” Quickly, small hands moved to grab a huge map, but not showing it to him yet, waiting for an answer. “I just arrived in town and I think I’m quite... lost, could you lend me a hand? A croissant for the annoyance!”

What's his most traumatic/repressed memory? How does he deal with any childhood trauma if it occurred? Is he aware of his classification of a sociopath, has this been diagnosed? If so, his thoughts on it? Diagnosed with anything else? What makes him the most uncomfortable? How does he dress/describe his wardrobe?

because there’s a lot to cover, i’ll answer in bulleted points. hope you don’t mind!

honestly, this most traumatic memory is being forced to take all those pills that, he feels, did more harm than good. he spent most of his childhood sick and tired, lazy almost because of the side effects, sometimes not even wanting to talk because he just doesn’t feel good. he’s told his mother about how it felt, but she had no intention of stopping since him off of it was an “embarrassment”. everyone just watched him without doing anything and because of that, when he got the opportunity to leave, he left almost right away.

when he thinks about his childhood trauma, he takes it up with his fists and becomes destructive. just the thought of his mother makes him want to break something. his father was never really there and his mother wouldn’t help him, so he hates thinking about them. punching, breaking – anything to get this disgusting feeling out of him. or, if he’s able, he just drinks a lot or gets high. he just wants the thoughts gone and to never return.

he was diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder much longer after seeing many different therapists and it even took a while to get there. there were therapists that just thought he had an anger problem, so it was a while until he was properly diagnosed. it’s on the back of his mind a lot that he was diagnosed with it, but he doesn’t think it fits all too much. when you think of a sociopath, you think of ted bundy or something like that; not someone like him – or so he thinks.

the thing that makes him the most uncomfortable are when people try to get to know him. it gets his paranoia going and it makes him wonder what they want with him. what are they planning with the information they know? will they try to get revenge? will they use it against him? no, he won’t give them a chance. never.

stefan dresses in button up shirts or sweatshirts because it’s all he can afford. if he did have the money (and if he finds someone who has money that he charms enough to buy stuff for him), he’ll dress up more. he loves ties. loves dressing up. loves when people look at him and say ‘damn, he looks good’.
