He slapped the blank form down on the desk. “ Look -- how about we skip past the chit chat, straight to part where you sign this so I can get back to work. ” So he’d been shot. It happened. Hell, it was pretty amazing it hadn’t happened sooner. But he was fine now. The hospital had given him a clean bill of health -- and that mattered more than whatever some shrink could tell him. He needed to be back on the job. Sam’s eyebrows shot up impatiently. “ Today maybe? ”
