Happy New Year everyone! This time, it's not a picture of a menu item from any restaurant but homemade ddeokgook which is traditionally consumed on new year's day by Koreans. It is said that if you have ddeokgook it means you gained one year. This is the time of year where everyone goes back home to enjoy time with their family and pay respect to their elders. friend made it. Haven't had this for years on the day of lunar new year. He also made meat pancakes, something made with chicken hearts, and stir fried fish cake. All Korean stuff. Another friend made pork belly stuff. Yum.
