--If you are the kind of person who needs a full meal, eat before you arrive! We do have snacks, and there are some places nearby where you can pick something up, but the last thing you want is to feel hungry/dizzy/faint!
--The party is FREE but please bring a donation of some kind if you can afford it. Food, drinks, and cash are all welcome!
--We do our best to label the food in case of allergies and dietary restrictions. If you bring food, please bring a label for it, or help us label it so we can make sure everyone can safely enjoy lots of tasty things.
--The space can get crowded and will be WARM! We do have coat racks, however, so you can hang up your things. Dress in layers so you can be comfortable in transit and at the party.
--If you want to draw, please bring your own supplies!
--Drawing is, however, totally optional and is secondary to chatting, networking, and meeting great new comics friends!
--Drinking is also totally optional, and there will be non-alcoholic beverages and other people there who are remaining sober! If you're not of age to drink, or a non-drinker, you won't be alone.
--Remember to bring your business cards, zines to trade, and other self-promotional materials. DDLL is a great way to meet other people working in comics and you WILL leave with new friends!
--Don't bring large portfolios or original work that you need to protect. The party can be messy (food and drink) and there is not a ton of space to do things like show portfolios.
--Your hosts this year are Alisa, Alison, and Tea. We also have a group of dedicated volunteers to help out. We would love to meet you, so please feel free to introduce yourself! If you have any problem at all, you can come find one of us! If you have more personal questions you'd like us to answer ahead of the party, please feel free.
--If YOU are interested in helping us set up or take down the party, or monitor food/drink, or if you are planning not to drink and would like to volunteer to be a sober monitor, please let us know! We are always looking for more help and it is a great way to give back if you're not able to donate food or money.
