IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!

FIT's comic arts club made its way to mocca and had a rocking time it was a bunch of fun and a great experience for all of us thank you so much for the society of illustrators for allowing us to participate and to all the wonderful people who supported us and helped us make our goal a success!!!

Hopefully you’ll see us there again next year!!

!!SPRING 2016 COMIC TOUR RECAP!! 

Dirty Diamonds ( @dirtydiamondscomic ) has been running wild this spring and spreading the word about lady-made comics wherever we go!

Here is a quick blow-by-blow of all the places we’ve been celebrating our always-inspiring comic-making chickies (with a special shout out to Natalie Riess ( @gearfish ) who I photographed twice without realizing it!):

- MOCCAFest (@moccafestnyc) (including our annual comic-lady smooch fest at @drinkanddrawlikealady)

- a panel on ‘Real Geek Girls: Celebrating Women in Fandom and Fiction’ at Camden Comic Con (@camdencomiccon) 

- a panel on ‘Diversity in Comics’ at the MontCo Comic Fest (@MontCoComicFest) 

- Atomic City Comics’ AtomiCon (@atomiccitycomics) as part of the Philadelphia South Street Festival

- Spreading love in the international sense at TCAF (@torontocomics) 

- and bring treated like the comics-royalty we are at the Haverford Kids Comic Fest (http://www.hkcfest.org/)

WHEW!  WHAT A TRIP!

Now we’re back on our couches in Philly, catching up with our local comic peeps and gearing up for Dirty Diamonds Issue 7: IMAGINATION (premiering at SPX ( @spx ) this September!)!!

Really late post-MOCCA post! Goyo is a friend of mine. She’s awesome! It has been very busy, so I wasn’t able to follow up on amazing people that I met there yet. But I will!! Also, I bought A LOT of zines and comics and pins and oh my I am so broke... I also got signed copies of Riceboy and Vattu. I ended up giving the author my shakey fanart that I drew at 3am.. and he gave me free copies of two of his other zines. There are so many nice people in this world! Thank you so much!

We had a spectacular turnout to Drink & Draw Like a Lady 2016! Thank you to all 400+ of you who showed up, our dedicated volunteers who helped everything run smoothly, those who donated to make the party a success, helped set up and clean up after, brought food and drinks, and everyone who brought your good spirits. This event is about celebrating those who identify as women and love comics and your continued enthusiasm for this event makes us all so happy.

the first anthology from the awesome brooklyn draw jam which is the first Monday of every month and everyone should attend

and missing because i already finished loved and lent it is Someone Please Have Sex With Me by Gina Wynbrandt and some beautiful prints from @thejellyempire
