I knew you'd convince me, I'M SOLD!
Do you need links? I can send you some. There's a post going around on tumblr with downloads, but the links are in the wrong order. I found that out the hard way.

Convince me why I should watch Secret Diary of a call girl. I've run out of tvshows.
It's the best display of an empowering woman on television I've seen since Cara from LotS. The main character, Hannah, is a prostitute, but she does it without shame, she enjoys the sex (and the money) and is a strong woman and essentially the farthest thing from a cliche. She's also funny, incredibly smart/witty, and independent. (and god she is so fucking gorgeous in the show I can't even tell you)
As for the show, it's so much more than what it seems. There is a good amount of sex (it is a show about prostitution after all) but on the other hand, she is leading a double life, and the show is about how the two worlds mix and how she handles real relationships (she has best friend named Ben) while having this job that you would think would make them impossible. It's like Hannah Montana except fucking awesome and sexy.
The cinematography (+ coloring) is gorgeous, (and gets even better as the show goes on), the fashion in it is amazing, the scenery of London is great, the acting is perfect, and the entire show has this real feeling to it. I love shows that mix so many different genres, and this is one of them. There's romance/sex, friendship, comedy, drama, emotional moments.. the only thing it doesn't have is action. Which, is saying something because that's usually a dealbreaker for my favorite shows.
To sum up: it has great acting, it's unique, it's well-written, has strong and well developed characters, and it's aesthetically pleasing. :)
