As swiftly, and as quietly as she can muster, Millie closes her bedroom door, locking it with a click before turning to rest her back against it. facing the taller, a worry-laced joy etches across her features.

❝ you KNOW my parents will skin you alive if they find you in here, right ? ❞ She attempts to make some light humor to lighten the otherwise awkward atmosphere, as one tends to do when confronted with the return of a childhood friend-crush.

Millie had seen all she wanted from the result of the Pain Games. it's no surprise that Blitz and Striker tied for first-place winners -- her boss can be exceptionally capable in combat when he's motivated, & Striker... if he's anything like he was when they were kids, the short-stack shouldn't be as bewildered as she is to see him sharing the winning circle with Blitz. with just a few sentences, somehow, the sharp-spined imp has her feeling a wave of homesick nostalgia.

❞ i missed you, too. it's been.. ❞ Christ on a stick, just how long had it been since they last spoke ? definitely over a decade, & there's a blink of guilt before it's washed away again, replaced with a soft, restrained glee.

It all started when he caught Striker eating cat food from the can. He'd been paying attention ever since, taking note of anything between questionable to downright revolting that the hybrid stuffed down his gullet. They were working together now so that made them friends.. right? Chaz liked to think so.. And that made the shark grow increasingly worried over his partner's health.

"Striker," Chaz called him by name so he knew he was serious, "What is that in your mouth..?" The cowboy's cheeks were puffed, indicating that something was in there, but he hadn't seen anything around that could be considered edible. "Come on, man, spit it out…"

When Striker only gave him an annoyed glare—not bothering to humor his request—Chaz bum rushed him from behind, wrapping one arm around the other man's waist in a tight squeeze, pinning Striker's own arms to his side. His free hand gripped under the hybrid's chin where Chaz used his long digits to pry past lips and wedge his thumb and forefinger into the gap behind his teeth—forcing his jaw open like a dog. "This is for your own good!! You'll thank me later when you aren't puking and shitting yourself from food poisoning!"

Giving his new wound a bit of pressure, his head finally faces his attacker. Teeth clenched in a twisted little grin. “Y’know- usually guys gotta pay fer penetration..! You got a lil further n’ most do, though, I’ll give ya that. But you ain’t gettin’ much further.~” Angel brandishes a knife, plucked from underneath his skirt. Twirling the blade in his hand, he’s ready to defend.

There were a million questions that ran through Fizz's head at once: where was the guard outside his door, who else was in the building, how did he get into his dressing room. He rested the makeup brush back down on the table and he did his best to stop the trembling as he felt the dagger dig in even deeper. A drop of black white and hot raced down his throat over the arch of his gulp.

" Wow— You really wanted an encore. " Their eyes met in the mirror and Fizzarolli's laugh squeezed into a wheeze.
