hi there, mods ! firstly, thank you for all the work you've done for the group ! it's fantastic & i'm eager for what's to come in the future. secondly, i was wondering about the types of jobs available ? will there be listings on the main page, or is it something we're allowed to adlib ?

Unless you’d like for us to come up with a list of jobs (we could also do housing if that’s what you’d like!) it’s something you can adlib.

lil' question for you guys! are the patron gods always chosen by the mods upon arrival? and what if a character wants to pledge loyalty to another god during their stay... how would that be handled IC and OOC?

Yes, the Gods are always chosen by the mods; it may seem random, but we have our reasons!

If a character would like to pledge loyalty to one of the Gods besides the one that wishes to bless them, it might not bode well with that God depending on who, and their mood. There’s lots of things happening behind the scenes with the Gods, both OOC and IC.

They might shun your character entirely and leave them be to worship and be blessed by who they please, but this labels them a traitor, of sorts, and it seems that a fair amount of the natives to the land can tell; certainly, the priests and priestesses can. 

That doesn’t mean that they will be accepted by that God, either.

Or that God might cling to their blessed one and demand loyalty.

The possibilities are many and varied!

How does housing work here? Does it depend on what god a character has?

The Priests of the Gods basically give you a ticket for housing anywhere you please --- the only matter is keeping up on your rent and such, so unless your character gets a job that pays enough for them to be able to afford it ( or if they get roommates ), don’t go live in a penthouse in Lachna or anything.

Hi there! Hopefully this isn't a super annoying/needy question, but I have a character that I'd like to app who has a lot of powers, and I noticed you guys seem pretty strict with the restrictions. Is there any chance we could request an ability to keep if there's a long list? Or, maybe provide a suggestion for nerfs somewhere in the app form? Just because some muses are so strong that losing their powers might cause some issues with their character/being able to stay in the group! Thank you!!

Sorry it took us so long to reach an agreement here, your patience is much appreciated.

Us mods think that a character with little to no powers left might be incredibly fun to explore --- which is one reason why the nerfing goes down in the first place --- and if having little to no powers left seriously does damage their character, then please come to us through IM or discord ( listed on the mods page ) and we’ll work with you.

We might just tell you to app in and let us handle it anyway, however.

Quick question! How many characters are we allowed to reserve at once?

Three characters can be reserved at one time; it’s half the cap of characters you can play at once, and we feel as if that’s fair.

Hello; what does canon point in the character app mean?

It means the spot you’re pulling your character from in their canon --- I suppose, here in Dead Empire, you could say it’s the place they died.

As long as you get permission from the first muse’s mun, canon doubles are perfectly fine.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned and I just didn't spot it, but what is the policy on preexisting powers?

My bad on not including this in the rules page, I’ll get to that right away!

But preexisting powers will be nerfed by the Gods upon your character’s arrival in limbo. They can be earned back through Their grace and event participation!
